Welcome! This is the help, feedback and bug report thread for FAKKU Reader. FAKKU Reader has been built with both desktop and mobile platforms in mind, and aims to provide a native-like experience on both of these. This means that you will need a decent enough browser to run it - latest Chrome, Firefox and IE11/IE10 should do on the desktop, Chrome should serve you well on both Android (4+) and iOS (7+). Now, you'll probably want to know how it works. Read on to learn about the User Interface, Controls, and User Settings. Index Mode Depending on what you're reading, the Index Mode can either give you a Thumbnail View: Or a Chapter View: (However, if neither thumbnails nor chapters are available, index mode will be disabled and won't be accessible.) Keyboard Up / Down, W / S: Scroll up / Scroll down Left / Right, A / D: Scroll left / Scroll right / At page edges: Previous Page / Next Page (or vice versa if using Right to Left UI controls) Page Up / Page Down: Previous Page / Next Page Home / End: Previous Chapter / Next Chapter Q / E: Previous Chapter / Next Chapter (or vice versa if using Right to Left UI controls) Space: Next Page Enter: Show / Hide UI F: Enter / Exit Fullscreen Mode C: Enter / Exit Free Scroll Mode Touch Swipe Left / Right: Previous Page / Next Page (or vice versa if using Right to Left UI controls) Tap: Show / Hide UI Double Tap: Zoom In / Out Pinch In / Out: Zoom In / Out UI Control Direction Determines how directional page change commands work. As you might know, most content on FAKKU is read right to left, so with this you can also make for example the arrow keys work so that left goes forward and right goes back, etc. The available options are Left to Right, Right to Left or Use Content Direction - the last one simply means that the controls will be left to right for content that is read left to right, and right to left for content that is read right to left. You can also change this setting on the fly on the first page of everything by moving into either direction, and the reader will follow suit. Try it out! Page Display Mode Determines how pages are displayed. If you like to view two pages side by side, then Two Pages When Possible is the option you're looking for. By default the reader uses Singles With Spreads, which displays one page at a time unless the action spans across two pages, like so: Besides there, there is also the option for Single Pages Only, which does exactly what it says on the tin - as such, the above kind of two page spreads will be shown as two separate single pages. Fit to Width if Overwidth Enabled by default and does exactly what it says - it scales the image down to fit width if it would be too big otherwise. Very useful when using the Original Size or Fit Height Page Scaling options! The subsetting But Not When Viewing Two Pages will suppress this behavior when the reader is displaying two pages at a time, and is enabled by default as well. Set Current Zoom Level as Default If you've used zooming on a page, you can use this button to set your current zoom level as the default page scaling. This will change the page scaling method to Set Height with the appropriate Target Height set to your current zoom level. Mouse Dragging Speed One of the ways to scroll the pages in the reader is by click-dragging them with the mouse. This setting controls the speed of said dragging. Default 1.0, with a range of 0.50-2.00. Scroll Wheel Sensitivity Controls the scroll speed of both mouse scroll wheels as well as (two-finger) touchpad scrolling on laptops. Default 1.25, with a range of 0.50-2.50. Version Information At the bottom of the Settings menu you can see version information on the reader and the device you're currently using. When reporting issues it is highly recommended that you copy and paste this string into your report.

Thumbnails and preview pictures are not working for me on certain works even the ones I bought. Is this a bug?

Posted about it in the other general report thread, but yeah thumbnails are still broke.
they seem to be even more broken now, since the tag art for the 'Loli' tag is now missing.

Please fix this. The covers and thumbnails for works are not loading and that's inexcusable for a manga reader application.

+1 for having a crap ton of broken thumbnails in my library and favorites. I thought it might have been a browser issue but then saw this post.

also got three broken thumbnails in my library for asanagi, butcha-u and bosshi works.

on a positive note: not only does the reader work, they also solved the caching issues so that you can view previously loaded pages without having to reload them. so hurray for that!

The thumbnail and cover problem has ongoing for some time for me but now some selected titles can't even be read on the reader. No image is loading for me.

that regularly happens for a few years now (started around the time the pandemic was over curiously enough). it's just that it's only for a few days every couple weeks now and not half a day everyday like it used to be until recently.

I'm getting pages randomly not loading. I like to read double pages and sometimes I have to try reloading 20 times just to get both pages to load at the same time.

Edit: Now I'm just getting infinite page loading.

Having the same problem. Pages don't show unless I refresh the page. Sometimes many times over.

This might not go here, but I'm not sure how to inform.

The weekly free chapters were updated out of time. There were 4 days remaining. The previous chapters were updated late. And as it turns out, the free tags weren't updated either of those times, so you can't actually read them.
The free tag still remains on the chapters from two rotations ago.

This is so inconsistent all the time.

I've been noticing this as well – or it'll show up a day after I tried to post it, along with a second copy of it from when I tried again after it didn't work the first time, and then when I try to delete the duplicate, it's still there after I reload the page :/

Ah, so I’m not the only one. Something else happened the other day when I went to the comments section. On one where I was able to comment and I saw a bunch of usernames (mine included) they were outlined in white with a check mark next to them. It was like Twitter verification or something? I was a little concerned about that. Half the reason I even show up is for comments. Not being able to comment is a big reason why I dropped my subscription.

Edit: Okay. So it’s happening here too! I can post in this thread but it looks like I can only post ONCE. That makes no sense. I had a post before but when I tried to quote someone who had the same issue it deleted my first comment?! Am I blacklisted? If so, what’s the reason? I’d like to know.
