[Locked] New Server Costs

I spent some time on the phone with my hosting company, which is GoDaddy, trying to figure out what the 503 issue is. Apparently there is a maximum amount of simultaneous connections to the site of 150. So if there are more than 150 people attempting to view the site you get that error message. I do not have a session checker on all of the pages on the site which is why the box at the bottom is incorrect. To be honest I am upset about the error but also impressed at the amount of traffic FAKKU now has. I didn't think I would have to upgrade my hosting account for a few more months.
Right now FAKKU is running on a shared hosting plan, to be more specific the Premium Plan here. I am a fan of GoDaddy hosting so I would like to continue to use their service unless someone can point out something that is better. Therefore I will have to upgrade FAKKU to either a virtual dedicated server, or a dedicated server. The virtual dedicated server will range from $287.90 to $1,013.40 for a year. Which is around $85.95 a month. And the dedicated servers... I can't even think about paying for right now.
Honestly, I do not want ads on the site. I realize that a lot of you wouldn't mind having ads but I want FAKKU to be the greatest hentai website on the internet without a single popup or banner. FAKKU is only two months old and we already have a huge community with thousands of downloadable manga and images.I believe we can compete with just about any other hentai site out there and FAKKU will never stop doing what we have been doing so well, it is only going to get better.
The future for FAKKU is looking awesome. Soon we will have multiple people uploading manga directly to the site, which means a ton of updates every single day. I honestly think we have more than enough daily updates already but the number is literally going to increase exponentially. The Image section is going to be taken over by azumax (which you can see more information on here) and completely expanded.
Eventually I want to start translating the more popular manga titles, I want to talk with Japanese publishers and get them to ship us the actual manga and sell it on the site. There is so much that FAKKU still has in store!
What does this all mean right now though? We need your help. I'm asking for as much money needed to pay for the first bit of hosting costs and we will see what happens from there. I believe that with $325 we can switch to a dedicated server and be stable for a small amount of time. I realize not everyone can donate money but there are other ways to help FAKKU. Posting and uploading files on the forums, uploading images in the image section, promoting and linking to the site, and just supporting our cause! If you can donate however I ask you please, anything you can spare will help. Think of all the manga!

You can help us out by promoting the site all over the internet :D Besides that I really can't think of an easy way to get donation money to me besides paypal, but if you can think of anything let me know.

Actually we ended up getting the $325 for the new server and I completely forgot to fix this topic to show that we reached the goal.
However thank you very much for the donation! Despite paying for the new server we obviously still need donations to stay online, and every little bit helps. I am hoping it will be a few months before we have to upgrade to a dedicated server, but as I'm sure you've seen we have been having some capacity problems.

It's between $100 and $150 a month now, but the cost will obviously increase as the traffic does. The problem is that I don't run ads so we rely on my own money and donations.

Hey, I love the site and am planning on donating when I eventually get paied. I have some ideas tho.
I currently run my own website tho due to work and school I have taken it down. http://www.canadianwebhosting.com/ I have been with them for a year and love them to death because they have INSANE ping times. Their clustered mySQL and web servers allow my site to qualify 20/60/140ms (best/avg/worst) and internal communication with SQL is always less then 3ms. I use 8 databases and usually have asp and php calls formating and transferring between them and so far I have never found such a good host.
Their $15 plan is dedicated ip, 3GB bandwidth, 300gig storage and connection limit is dependent on cluster tho they have no problems when i asked then to unlimit my account.
As for storage I like to keep all my file on a separate host so that if everyone is downloading 10files a new visitor wont half to wait 5min for the site to load. Quite a few times I have come to visit the sits been painfully laggy and timed out. For file storage i use http://www.servage.net. They have a good ftp/http qualify time but their SQL servers are in another country so i cant use them but I do have a 45% off cupon for the life on a new user, so $4.25 for another 360gig storage, 3600mb traffic, and they let you map them as a drive!
Also to add to the fun I have 1700 doujins, nearly 300 anime series, and 25 erogames that I wouldn't mind making a bloody wackload of DVD's but no way I can upload that much personally.

Checked out the Canadian web hosting, not a bad deal actually. We do go through about 90Gigs of bandwidth a day though. But I was thinking about buying a server and just renting rack space somewhere for it, so if you actually wanted to donate one that would be awesome.
And please post some of your collection it sounds like you have a lot to share :D

Are you already using a split web/download accounts? i can see 90gig a day all one one server but if the website used 5gig a day and the downloads on a separate server you could find a good webhost and a multimedia host who specilizes in only files and provides no cpanel/php/cgi.
