Newbie Orientation?

Hey, I just thought that it might be something to consider to have new people be required to read the forum rules before being allowed to start topics (possibly before they can post, too) just to try to avoid the newbies breaking rules with their first posts. Possibly do what some other forums do where they have a code mixed into the rules that the people have to enter? I don't know. I just think it would be nice to have new people forced to at least see the page that the rules are on.

You had to see it before you signed up but he seemed to have changed that.
Sounds like a good idea.

I've thought that before, I think it's definitely a good idea. When they first go to post and when they first go to make a thread, have the rule page come up first. I think it would lessen rule breaking and people wouldn't really have an excuse for any possible subsequent rule breaking in their future posts.

HI!
Nice idea, but a lot of them will just scroll down this and if they break the rules , they'll be like "please dont kill me i missed this part of the rules".
A questionnaire would resolve this problem, but seems pretty boring to do for new users, nope?

Then they receive the scorn of the others, and moderators have to fix shit, if needed.
Probably.
