Not allowing downloads for paying users is pointless

Why remove downloads for paying users? Why not remove the download option for the free trial but let those actually paying download freely? I would happily pay if I could download as I prefer my own viewer.

FAKKU Unlimited never had downloads due to it being a subscription service, but all the purchasable content still offers downloads. Nothing was removed.

Ok, here's what's torqueing me off - I signed up for unlimited access, BUT CANNOT ACCESS PAID CONTENT??? REALLY? THIS IS IS WHAT YOU CALL "UNLIMITED"????? You don't see that as perhaps a little misleading? "Unlimited" by its very definition means "without limits." Legally I should be able to access ANY doujin, manga or game Presented by FAKKU, PERIOD. Color me unsubscribed. I'm not abot to pay $13 per month for "limited unlimited". I'd have to be a total frickin' rube.

Yeah. I don't care if it's a subscription service or not. Not being able to download/purchase the 'unlimited' c9ntent and instead paygate renting it is STUPID!
Just let me purchase the chapters/collections I want and keep that subscription BS OPTIONAL!
It's why refuse to subscribe to such a limited service.

Again, this is in the nature of subscription services. Netflix, Spotify, Crunchyroll, FF14, etc. are not a one-time payment, because the offering is ever-evolving and growing. Purchases are available for finished products, which in our case are DRM free books, doujinshi, games, etc.
The advantage of a subscription, in addition to the new additions, is the greater value on offer; at a theoretical sale price of $1 per chapter, the current offering would cost the equivalent of over 60 years of Unlimited. Realistically it would be pricier than that (users have in the past suggested upwards to $4-6 per item), so even if you're only interested in a fraction of what's available, that same money would still grant you years of full access to the Unlimited library.
There are valid reasons for not liking the subscription model, but there are currently no plans to make its content downloadable or purchasable.

damn shame you won't sell single chapters. like the other guy said, there's ppl that only want a few select chapters from some artists. and 15 bucks to rent these on a monthly basis is ridiculous. and with most good wani artists running off to GOT corp (and a few to other publishers) - and only a few GOT artists like michiking and gosaiji publishing via wani - i'm inclined to agree. add on to that that your reader craps out every other day (almost two weeks during the last winter break), i assume it would really help you to reconsider selling at least old chapters where you know you won't publish the books - or maybe from artists that only published so little it's not enough for a book (like nanae's 4 chapters).

I don't know about others, but I would be willing to pay more if there was a download option.
Maybe more subscription tiers would be a good initiative?
Because If I'm being blunt the Fakku reader is just not a good reading experience, sorry.
That's one point, and the other is that certain titles have been removed from the Fakku library, so if I'd want to read that then I would need to resort to khm..other sources.

Yes, which is one reason I don't engage with most subscription services.
I NEVER said they weren't viable or whatever. I said that I'd like the opti9n to purchase chapters for series that want instead of paying for service that:
A. Only lets me rent content when what I want is to own it.
B. Doesn't offer a download option BECAUSE it's a subscription service.
Yeah, no. It's just n9t a very enticing model for doujinshi/manga, at least for me.
