Hi there fellow Fakku(wo)men,
I have been enjoying this site for the past month after finally hitting the subsribe button using Coinbase as a payement method. This also resulted into me activatign a monthly payement by this means. Unfortunatly i happened to notice today (the day my subscribtion should have been refreshed), that apparently the payement option is not valid any longer. This being that only CC or paypal is support as of now.
I had prepared on enjoying a warm, cozy winter so i supplied my portfolio on Coinbase with a rough 300 euros. To stack up on books (and future releases) and notably the monthly fees.
Now i'm stuck w quite a bit of cash over there that i cant use in any other way. (as coinbase's use was limited to fakku for me) So this all to lead to the almighty question...
Is this a temporary closing of the payement method or should i start feeling scammed? I do hope it's the aforesaid temporary measure, and would appreciate some feedback around the situation.
Thanks beforehand,
Hana.

A few things.
Don't worry because bitcoin payment will be back soon, through Bitpay.
Once you've purchased bitcoin you're free to move it off of Coinbase as you please. It's your money, and it won't go anywhere (unless something seriously bad happens). You can get your own software wallet to keep it safe (or even a hardware wallet). You could also potentially convert those funds back to your currency but you'll probably be eating fees doing that. There's also the option of just leaving it on Coinbase, if you trust them (there are some reasons not to). AFAIK Bitpay doesn't store your money. You'll have to keep it somewhere and send it to Bitpay to process payments. So you might want to do some research on bitcoin before that option comes back.
Also this is probably not the right forum for this.

Value of bitcoin has risen about 60% since begining of November so if thats when you bought bitcoins you'll be making a nice profit if you unload them now.
