Let's think of hentai books like hamburgers, and the new page-covering advertisements like samples of wasabi.
Personally, I don't like wasabi. Of course, if stomaching a sample of wasabi earns me a hamburger, I'll do it. However, if instead you give me a hamburger with a ball of wasabi hidden inside, you're doing nothing but ruining my fucking hamburger.
"Oh oh oh, but Fakku GOLD doesn't have to deal with that! You should just-"
Yeah, no. Before you start to give me freemium-gospel, try considering how downright tragic it is that even free porn can feel P2W nowadays. As mentioned though, I can take the wasabi on the side; please just put the ad at the start of the book rather than the middle.
People kept saying "Hey you dirty pirates, you're hurting the artist, but Fakku books supports the industry!" and I understood and accepted that, but at this point I just feel like never really using this site, which isn't doing "the industry" any favors at all. Again, don't chuck advertisements into the middle of books. That's certainly not putting a dent in pirating.

We're running this ad spot as a trial run to see the feedback. It's meant to be an alternative to the 'pop-up' style ads that appear in a new window.
Thank you for the really well written feedback.
Edit: we've moved it to Page 1.

We're testing out the new advertisement this week, which are designed specifically for FAKKU. The goal is to replace the existing popunders (which are pretty awful), with something a little more appropriate. We'll be listening to all feedback about it and we're already planning to move it to the front of the pages rather than randomly in the middle. That should keep the wasabi from being a surprise when you're in the middle of a delicious burger.
Regardless, if everyone hates the new type of advertisement and it's not working out we will remove it.

Thank you based god.
But really, that was the first time I'd had such a boner kill that I complained on the internet.

Of course, it's being troublesome when running Adblock (Yeah, Adblock. Going to burn me at the stake?)
Before with the pop up window, it would open and immediately close, just seeing a brief white flash. (Adblock + Popup block things working together)
Now it doesn't do it, but the ad sticks over on top, invisible, with now way to tell, until I used Adblock's 'Block Element' to highlight over the manga page, and was presented with this "www.fakku.net###advertisement-page"

I'm a long time lurker, but I have just have to comment on these new ads. The cover ad's were decent and seemed fairly well done and not that intrusive. Neither are the banner ads. The new side pop up adds, on the other hand, are EXTREMELY annoying and excessive. They pop up on every page, including things like the login screen, and make me not want to stay and fap here =(. For example, the current right hand bottom ad is contentiously popping up and down which is very distracting. I really, really, REALLY hope that these are not the ad types that you settle with.
I completely understand the need for FAKKU to use pop ups to generate revenue to keep the site running, but this particular type of advertising will do nothing but drive users away from FAKKU and towards other Hentai archives. I know it has taken me out of the mood to fap =(.
