Pop up problem linked to fakku

so, I've been browsing this site for years now and only recently have there been pop ups[using any browser] happening, mostly during the first few clicks on any link within the site. at first, they were just annoying adult webcam ads or someone selling me a two foot dildo to stick up my ass, I can ignore that crap no big. But then this morning I was subject to a popup that directed to ransomware, basically holding my system hostage until I pay their ass.
WARNING! IF YOU ARE USING YOUR MAIN SYSTEM, ARE NOT AN ADMIN, ARE NOT EQUIPPED TO DEAL WITH MALICIOUS RANSOMWARE, DO NOT CLICK THIS LINK
the admins can check it here:
I don't know if site admins know of this, I don't know if this is solely on my end, and I don't know if the initial popups were coming from here as well. This post serves as a warning, and I hope none of you have been subject to this.

You might want to Spoil that link if it's so dangerous, because some idiot will click it.
These ads are a pain in the arse. But never have I seen Ransomware.

I believe it's called the FBI Moneypak Malware popup/under. I don't know how my system survived it, normally software like this would root itself faster than we can even think "wait...wtf just happened here!?...oh shi~!", but after some poking and prodding, I simply pushed the reset button on my case and it's effects were neutralized. Granted that wasn't very smart of me, and I'm glad it wasn't permanent. I'm also curious as to what prevented total system infection, and most importantly, is Fakku safe to browse?
