Postage option/ suggestion

Ok, so this will no doubt be the hundredth post about this, but just thought I'd throw something out/ ask as an option (which may be different to the others, who knows. We all know my search skills are trash by now)
So, currently postage cost is around the same cost as a book itself for me, sometimes $5 less, depends on the book really. Bulk doesn't seem to drop the cost.
Is it a viable option to opt for snail mail or ups, instead of usps? I recall something about customs with that though, so not sure if that was an issue.
But yeah, would be handy to not have to pay $70~ for a book, instead of like $40~ (that's post exchange rate).
I mean, I understand if there's issues with snail mail/ cheap mail. Just figured I'd see if it was viable, so there's a cheaper option for those of us international.
But yeah, it might be an option. Would definitely mean things would be much more affordable for some people perhaps. I mean, I'm happy to wait 3-4weeks for parcels from other countries. Often do it for rc parts from amain. But yeah
For reference, Australia.

Usps is snail mail.Isn't usps still like a week? The cheapest they have is priority, which is fairly quick still from memory.
Taking amain as an example they have usps, ups and normal snail mail which is usually the cheaper option, with ups I believe being the stupid expensive option and usps sometimes working out better for bigger orders

USPS is snail mail. Anything that is shipped thru the postal service. There is first class mail, priority and express aka small package sal, sal, ems. No first class option?

i think they are talking about shipping over sea (cargo ships) instead of air mail

i think most postal service don't offer it, if people want sea mail, then jacob will need to find a company that will handle from US to the buyer house.

Ah, seems ups is the cheap snail option
Example, this is for the $20 book:
Ignore the messanger
This is amain, this is what I meant. Albiet I was thinking ups not usps, which might be part of it
Granted those are discounted for their sales, but not by heaps.
Still, that is $180 worth of rc gear which would be heavier and bigger than a book. That said though, they are a much bigger company and would have company discounts on postage or however it works (you know how it is, much cheaper to use couriers or the likes through a business than yourself. Or well, cheaper because you nees to be a business to use the couriers.
But yeah, that might not be viable, just thought I'd see, as said

USPS is the cheapest option available that's practical (and USPS is snail mail as far as anyone is concerned).
The USPS<=>UPS<=>FedEx options are available thanks to distribution agreements and I don't think Fakku will be picking up any time soon. It will need to grow by a lot.
Have you tried Amazon? Amazon does have these distribution agreements, but I don't know how it works over in Australia.
One thing though is that the website is setup to a broad audience and is setup for individual parcels. You can try to contact the staff and they might be willing to pack a whole lot of books into a single box and send it to you via a single shipment. You can save in bulk, just have to go through a few extra steps.
