Prepaid time as an alternative to subscriptions

I'm wondering if it's possible to buy prepaid time as an alternative to monthly recurring subscriptions. Kind of like how with World of Warcraft you can buy 30 days access, or 3 months or a year, etc. It would be nice because then there could be a potential to gift time as well. Kind of like how you can gift premium membership on Deviantart. Also it may make paypal a viable payment method since it's a one time purchase instead of a recurring payment

Paypal won't let them use them for digital content, subscription or no. It's adult services, and they don't like that. They're fine with the physical books, only just.
As for the prepaid time; you pretty much get that already. 1month, you cancel the subscription after paying, and it won't charge you for the next month. Then, it'll run out after a month, and then you can renew whenever you want

The paypal thing isn't really regarding if it's a recurring payment or not. It's purely if the product is digital we can't sell it anymore. Has to be a physical object now. Being considered a 'high risk' service, they don't want to have to deal with the massive amount of chargebacks that come with the selling digital products. It's considered 'high risk' due to how people will pay for a service or product on an adult site, then do chargebacks once they've downloaded the porn to get it for free.
That being said, we are looking into pre-paid options to sell at conventions and what not. The code is already written for it. Just a matter of figuring it out logistically / distribution.
