project bump up

so,i've been browsing around those piles of old topics and i think some of them are still interesting and post-worthy,particularly for the newer member like me.

so i'm thinking of giving a new life to some of the old topics by bumping them up,so that the newer users could post and express their opinions.

any thought about this?i'm hoping that the admins would say something about this.

I think that's a good idea. As long as you comment on the OP...nothing like just going "bump" on each topic.

Bumping up means a lot of new topics get bumped down, but I guess a few recent ones could use the bumping down. :roll: Sounds good though since I'm curious what the elder Fakkers posted in the past.

I think it's a fine idea as long as you choose the topic carefully. (ie: avoid anything relating to chuu or other severely outdated things.)

From what I've seen all the posts made by Chuu! have actually been intelligent... Maybe I just haven't seen the right ones?

this is my biggest concern....which topic to bump up....if you guys left the choosing to me,i'm afraid that i'll choose the wrong topics.

Chuu! was a user banned for being a pedo.

As I've said I've only seen limited amounts of what he's posted and some of his posts were intelligent in the mecha section...

When the time he was chuu!, he was affected by a H-game, and kept asking me to copy some of my collections to him.

He's now completely sane, and currently gone because of games and other stuffs in Jakarta. And NetSpec (NetSpectator) is MIA too, and I don't have his phone number.

ok,so i'm looking all over those piled up threads again and i realized that there's a lot of threads that needs reorganizing and should be put in its righteous categories...

i know that admins are very busy with their own life,but....

Like what Tsujoi has mentioned, as long as something constructive is said in the respective threads, I don't see why they cannot be bumped, or revived, as I would prefer to put it.

As for the proper categories these threads belong to, I am sure the Admins and Mods will reorganize or sort them out as soon as they are discovered.

I think there should be a section for posts that have potential to be revived. Of course, that would only be a temporary thing. Once things pick up, they could be moved back to the appropriate sections.

you mean like putting threads that haven't had a reply in a month in a "garbage bin" kind of section and if someone replies to it, it gets restored?

Also, I'm not sure where it is, I was looking for it, but there was this post between Nouta and either Lurking/Deleta about how the Motemote character was gonna bring in a lot of spam happy users. That those users would change the face of the forums negatively i.e. having TWO MODS and splitting the forums into the new and the old(or whoever gave coherent/good topics). It was so uncanny how accurate that thread was that I wanted to bump it so bad, unfortunately I could not stand the irony in that, and opted not to.

Kind of. The way I think it should work is they get "restored" if they get a lot of responses. Just doing it after one would kind of be jumping the gun because a thread could get one reply and die again.
