Question regarding post count

Not sure if there's a section or post explaining this but I will ask anyway:
So obviously if you post in a thread from any section other than IB, CTFG and nosebleed you earn an official post count. But say you posted in a thread located in random that was then moved to IB. Would that +1 post count stay as an official post or would it turn into an IB post i.e. will convert into a bracketed post located on your profile, and be removed from the post count viewable in any of your posts in a thread?
Just curious.

I seem to recall losing a few points off my post count, which I always associated with the thread being moved to IB, but I can't be too sure. Feedback and Suggestions might give you an answer.

Mod Note: After some consideration, I have decided to move this thread to the Feedback, Suggestions and Support section.
Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
If I did not remember wrongly, when a topic is moved to the Incoherent Babbling section, the official post count becomes an unofficial post, as reflected in brackets. However, it has been a while since I verified the above statement. I could perform a test to see if it is still indeed the case.

It's a question I've been wanting to ask for a while, just out of curiosity.
