Reader consistently...graying out?

Pretty much every subscription material I read, in the second half somewhere it starts to display a page and then switch to a gray screen. I'm using Chrome on an Android note 4. Once it displays that gray it still responds to the commands the reader should as far as changing pages, chances are if you tap the left side of the screen it will go back to the last page and show it correctly. Try to go to any page further in however, and it will likely stay a gray screen. Sorry if that's vague, but that's all I've got.
