ok im happy and all that sigs are back but can there be a size limit on them please

I agree with this. Some sigs are just too big. its like a whole big picture

i second that motion.some sigs are just to :shock: :shock: and takes most space in the tread.

There are a couple of signatures which are rather large compared to that of other members'. I am quite sure the Admins are monitoring the situation since a thought must be spared for the dial-up users, even if such connections are less common these days in certain parts of the world.

I agree, I remember proposing that myself when the topic of bringing them back was first brought up. I hope the guys know what they're doing.

Size limit sounds like a GREAT idea.

Well the problem is saying "100 characters max signature size" will not prevent people from putting disgustingly large images in their signatures. The below code is less than 20 characters, but the image could be 2000x2000.

So I would have to write something that checked the signature image width x height or something that automatically resizes signatures images that go above a certain point. The thing is, I don't want to do either.

So for the time being if you see someone with an obnoxious signature you should A) Bitch at them until they change it, B) Tell myself, Mike, Raze or Nikon and we will bitch at them about it.

You could also just adblock any offensive images.

When the sigs came back i was asked to change my sig since it was too "big" for some of the members, i did that nice as i am, but now i see people around the forum with sigs probably twice as big as the one i had, has there been some change of rules that i've missed or wut?

If you are using Firefox, try downloading the Adblock Plus AddOn. That saves trouble of having to report every user with a larger sig so you can just hammer the "block image" button on those pictures you would like to avoid.
That is of course not equal to forcing resizing of pictures, but it is still better than to report a user that changes his sig a few times a day :). Not to mention you can also block annoying avatars :D

The most easiest solution about annoyingly big sigs are, just turn off the view function.

i think there should be a resizer on them or somthing so the pics are just set to a maximum size determind by jacob or one of the mods.

So i can have as big a sig as i want and no one can do shit about it?
