So I have been a Fakku lurker for years. I have fapped for hours thanks to this site and it is something I really do appreciate from you guys. I support the concept of swapping from all free users and everything being pirated, to the new format of it all being legal and paid for.
That being said, I am saddened by the current state of Fakku. What drew me, and held my love for this site was the dozens of scanlation teams who worked tirelessly and satisfied my unending hunger for more hentai. Now though, content comes out rather slowly. Maybe once or twice a day, sometimes I can go a day without seeing new material. Even then, maybe the material isn't something that gets me going and just doesn't do it for me.
I have gone through the vast majority of the catalog and I like the fact that I can go and read all that I missed when I had previously unsubscribed. The only thing I cant read are the books. But I seem to notice content for the books comes out at what seems to be equal pace to the subs stuff. In the last 20 uploads, half of them were from the book. But the thing is I pay this site a sub fee every month. I honestly am not inclined to pay more on top of that fee just to read half of the content that is being published.
Now I understand the books are another form of revenue for you guys and you don't want to give that up, but its becoming hard to justify the subscription fee when half of the time I open up fakku, I see no new content and then just go to reddit or somewhere else to get my fix. I personally really wanna see Fakku succeed. I really love this business model and this revitalization of how we are viewed in Japan. That being said I have to be practical with my money as wel. I know you are working hard on trying to deliver more content for us but currently this pacing is painful.
An idea is maybe include books into your subs option. Or create a tier level of subscribers where tier one gets only the sub stuff, and tier 2 gets sub and books.
The reason why is because without content coming out more quickly your going to get a lot of subscribers in "burst". The service is great for the first month you have it where there is tons and tons of porn. But after you read whats there, then the service kind of...falls. It is going to become harder to retain clients for extended periods of time if content delivery speed isn't increased. Its almost to the point where its only worth subscribing every other month and that just makes the entire process a huge hassle.
What I would love is some reassuring words of hope. Something I can see that outlines the growth that is needed. Solid numbers we can all look at and understand. Please give me the strength to go on with my subscription.

As much as book content isn't that frequent, I do like that idea. Having a subscription tier that includes digital books as well. Granted though, it'd probably be a lot higher than most people would be wanting to pay (especially considering a few aren't too keen on the current pricing).
Still, it could work

There are already plans to expand the subscriber content, and we are possibly working on a way to include "samples" of the books for subscribers. You must understand though that the books are another product, bought for different distribution means. The chapters for these books however originate in the Wani magazines we're releasing, so this means you are automatically receiving previews of future books we may release.
So you can sort of compare it to tv shows, and dvd season boxsets of said shows. An author (for example Guujira) will first release a chapter in Comic X-Eros. Then a couple months later, he'll release another chapter. And another. After a year to two years, the publisher takes all these chapters by Gujira and puts them puts them into a book. Then we license the book if we're interested in publishing it, and you get the option to buy it. As we continue on with the subscriber service, it may get to the point that a whole book has already been published digitally through the magazines. However, for those who really like the author, the books usually have touched up chapters/art, art bonuses, and the pleasure of actually owning the physical book. Gujira's book features one chapter we already have in our subscriber service. Another example of something similar will be the upcoming Napata book.
We began publishing books a good year before we began the subscriber service, and we set out to publish at least one book every month. When the digital version of the book is released, you get a chapter a day until the whole book is released.
Resources are not being pulled from the subscriber service to release books. There are two separate teams, dedicated to working full time to get their projects out. If we were to stop producing the books, the amount of subscriber content would still be just the same. However if it upsets you to see the digital book content on the front page, you have the option of just clicking on the "Magazine" tab to see subscriber only content.
We are planning on expanding the subscriber content, but until then you can maybe try out what other users are doing to justify Fakku spending: sub one month, buy a book the next, sub again, etc. You'll always have access to the full subscriber library every time you sub, so if you wait a month and sub the following, that'll be a good 600+ pages of more content for you to enjoy.
