Suggestion: "Continue Reading" after finishing a chapter
6
This is something that has always turned me off the subscription a bit, actually. With the books, I can just continue onto the next chapter. But with standalone chapters, I need to go back and manually choose another chapter.
I would suggest adding something akin to Youtube when you finish a video. It will suggest other similar chapters. This could be, for example, by listing similar chapters after the last page (e.g. same collection/author). With a simple click (or keyboard press) you could choose one of those chapters and start reading it immediately. Additionally, for collections (i.e. magazines) you should be able to just proceed to the next "chapter", akin to books with multiple chapters.
Even better, a "Random read"/"Reading spree" feature would be amazing. After each chapter ends it would automatically pick a random chapter from the whole website taking into account user favorites (which increase the likelihood of chapters with these tags/authors/collections being picked) and exclusions (tags/authors/collections a user "excludes" would never be randomly picked). Some way to (automatically?) mark chapters as "read" so that they wouldn't be picked twice would also be nice.
These two features would immensely improve the reading experience of standalone chapters, and I'd love something like it!

I second this! I've thought about being able to move to the next chapter automatically or easier myself.

At first you'll probably get a simple end page to the reader to indicate that you've reached the end. After that, there will be an ability to add the chapter to your favorites or other collections. Beyond that, adding suggestions and moving between collection entries is definitely something that I want the reader to have and you should see this happen eventually.

My only concern is that people will forget to stop by the comments section. Arguably not very important.
