[Locked] Tag for Threesomes?
0
I've noticed that apparently hentai with a guy and two girls goes into the group category rather than the harem category (guess it has to be at least 3 to be a harem?) and I think it'd work better the other way around.
People searching for harem will be searching for a multitude of people focusing on one person (not that they can't share the love among themselves) but people searching for group will be looking for something more like an indiscriminate orgy.
For this reason I suggest either an entirely new tag called Threesome(s) or that hentai with multiple people focusing on a single person (specifically, MFF or Male+Female+Female(as is my preference in this situation)) be placed in the harem category.

Tags are supposed to be less specific, we don't want a billion different tags.

Threesome is under Group, i think. Or harem. That's my point, they're listed under group when group has a bunch of stuff I'm not looking for. If tags don't help me narrow down my selection to something more specific then they aren't doing their job.

It'd make more sense under the harem tag, group could mean almost anything.

Why are you telling me what the point of tags are? I'm telling you what the administration of this site has decided for the subjects of tags.
This is a case of working as intended.

Technically, group is three or more, no matter what gender the participants might be. So, you can't say a threesome isn't group sex.
However, I do agree that discriminating between the male to female ratio would be a good thing to do since it is a different fetish. And for that reason there is the harem tag. Unfortunately, it isn't used by those who upload and since a harem is three or more girls then a threesome, or love triangle, doesn't fall under it. But for the purposes of FAKKU and the simplicity of not having too many tags I think including any story with more 1 guy and X number of girls should be added to the harem tag.
And for the record, "tags" are supposed to be numerous and specific. "Genres" would be the broader term to use.

I agree, it's really what I'm shooting for here.

Makes sense.

But then why have any tags at all? What's their purpose if not to specify what's going on in the doujinshi? Isn't it to help people find the type of doujinshi they're looking for?

Group tag, typically, covers sex with:
- two or more males, and one or two females
- one or two females performed on one or more males/females
Harem covers:
- three or more females, engaging with one male (or more males, if the females are doting on all males as a harem)
- two or more males, and one or two females
- one or two females performed on one or more males/females
Harem covers:
- three or more females, engaging with one male (or more males, if the females are doting on all males as a harem)

Well, basically what Waar has trying to say is "This is how we do things in Fakku."
His statement is indeed arguable but he has got a point.

i was wondering...
traditionaly, harem refers to one dominant male with many females. what about one dominant female with many males? same situation with only the genders reversed. would such a manga be put under femdom or could it be counted as harem? what with equal rights and everything, it seems like it would be more PC to call it a harem. femdom kind of has S&M implications.

I'm not sure my point is getting across, a lot of posters seem to be trying to explain to me what I already know, which is the reason why I made this thread in the first place.
People searching for harem will be looking for:

one dominant male with many females.Whereas group, as I mentioned earlier, has a totally different connotation, the people reading group will be looking for a totally different thing than the people looking for harem/threesome doujinshi. That's why it'd be more convenient for it to be associated with harem or for it to be recognizable in some way.

I agree, femdom does have a somewhat different connotation than a reverse harem(not to be sexist by saying it's reverse). How would people find something that niche when we're trying to keep tags simple? (Not arguing, genuinely curious)

Femdom (at least on manga here) seems to be applied to just any dominant female in sex.
I agree, there is a harem double standard, but if it were included on manga that had a male harem, we'd only get more complaints like the OP's: "too many dicks" and such.

Right and as I explained the administration doesn't want too many tags, so more tags are not in the cards. The tags we have serve their purpose and until Jake says he wants to get more specific make do with the system we have.

i'm not even sure there are any male harem ones here, it was just something that crossed my mind and i thought it was worth mentioning.

There is a lot of room for improvement and I hope the whole system is reviewed at some point.

The tags will remain as they are for now.
