As the title suggests, this is likely the only legit "How to Multi-Tag?" topic that was created after, say, 2013.
The reason for that is simple: I followed the instructions, and yet it doesn't work.
Using ; doesn't work.
Using ; with a space after it doesn't work.
Using , doesn't work.
Using , with a space after it doesn't work.
Using just a space doesn't work.
Sooo... please tell me, what the Fakku (heh) am I doing wrong?

Adding a controversial tag doesn't work since the search hasn't been fixed for that problem. They are illegal in some countries, that why their controversial. Plus search function breaks down alot.

It doesn't for me. (But both tags individually, without the other, do work for me.)
And by that I mean that it never worked for me, not once.
So it's not just a temporary thing I'm having problems with; rather, it's a thing that people say works but never did in my experience.

Right now the search bar isn't working properly. Hasn't done for about a week now which might be why you're having problems. When the search bar was working, multitag searching also worked.
Pettanko and vanilla (individually) seem to be about the only tags that work right with the search bar at the moment. I've tried other non-controversial tags with associated manga - though not all - and gotten zero results.

Yeah... sometimes I still get results with single tags, but not often.
I hope they fix this soon... Fakku is kind of an absolute pain to browse without proper tag search (enough so to make it borderline unusable for me). ^^
