What is Fakku nowadays?

I havent been here for a while and I noticed that everything is either a subscription or you gotta buy the book... My question is what happened to all the free content? I miss the old layout for Fakku :( probably cuz it didnt cost me a cent just to see something that interested me.

Fakku went legit and they now uncensored tankoubon releases and translate chapters from two Wani magazine as their subscription service. Worth every penny imo.
There's other sites where you can read fan translation doujins and hentai.

Don´t forget to mention that the quality of the translations and the images is unbeaten!
13 Bucks very well spent indeed!

cuz it didnt cost me a cent just to see something that interested me.Manga that gets uploaded & distributed without the owner's permission is pretty much no different from downloading movies and TV shows online (piracy). Except artists don't make the same kind of money as Hollywood film studios. This site is now doing legitimate business with manga creators so that fans can enjoy hentai manga through a more respectable avenue.
Here's the breakdown:
+ Support the industry, support artists' hard work
+ Uncensored
+ View all FAKKU content in high quality
+ Very good localizations, high standards
+ New content every day
- Magazine works are exactly what Wanimagazine releases therefore content is not so diverse
- Smaller library than what used to be available
- No download options available yet

I'll agree with supporting the industry but the others well...
Uncensored we've been dealing with censors forever it being uncensored doesn't really add much and shouldn't really be a selling point.
High quality, if I were to bring up a pirated scan and a Fakku scan would there be a significant difference? If its just slight then meh
Localizations, its not like other sites are offering google translated manga, most of the stuff we've read is at a great quality already.
New content, eh between the non-H stuff and the older stuff that's not so good anymore we are still getting dice rolls on stuff ppl want to see.

Direct from the artist with no edits. A few even when back and redid parts and added new content.

Well the fact fakku's chapters and book aren't scanned and there no scan marks since they're all digital creation to digital project file to flatten png.

Depending on who did it. Not all of the scan sites really have a guy who really know japanese to a guy who took a class or used the korean/chinese and retranslated to english. 80/20 on the sad panda portal of japan.

1 or 2 non h stuff or the rare translated previous chapters. 90% of a months release are for the latest or one issue back.

Freaky nailed it but I'll bite.

I might have said the same thing a year ago but now that I've seen the difference these things stick out to me.
> High quality, if I were to bring up a pirated scan and a Fakku scan would there be a significant difference? If its just slight then meh
FAKKU has pretty high standards. The scan community as a whole does not. Of course there are groups that do try to maintain their own standards, but any particular work could look much worse depending on who worked on it. If this wasn't an advantage then FAKKU's work would be pretty disappointing and not worth anyone's money or time.
> Localizations, its not like other sites are offering google translated manga, most of the stuff we've read is at a great quality already.
Again, standards. I'll defer to what Freaky said. It's absolutely true.
> New content, eh between the non-H stuff and the older stuff that's not so good anymore we are still getting dice rolls on stuff ppl want to see.
We are getting non-h stuff because it was in the magazines. I mentioned it above, not everyone is getting what they want. Dice rolls yes, but it's still a work in progress. When FAKKU can expand we will see more content in general and more diverse tags and I can only look forward to that.
Having a high standard of quality is good for everyone. Good for us because now we have lots of beautiful manga. Good for artists because they can trust FAKKU to deliver their work exactly as intended. Good for the industry because strong competition is healthy. Maybe your personal preferences offer more slack but to me these things are very important to note.

Side-by-side comparison with our releases at the bottom. The left is a more extreme case, but it shows how big of a difference you might get. Even if it's not as good as the digital source material that we have, the right is a much better scan, but it still shows off the difference between censored and uncensored.
Scanlations offer a very mixed bag when it comes to translation quality, and even if it sounds good it doesn't mean it's necessarily a proper translation.
As for older chapters and non-h stories, we're currently done with all of the chapters from this month, and there's a week until the new magazines come out, which is why you're seeing that sort of content right now. I would also argue that "the older stuff that's not so good anymore" is an exaggeration. For instance, I don't think there's a major difference between the Koumei Keito chapter that came out nine months ago and the one from this month.

Again its not like they're giving us a complete overhaul on mangas.
Scan marks really only apply with full color work black and white tend to be similar.
Its not like hentai dialogue is shakespeare same as a very good translation and a good translation are the same as long as there are no really bad slip ups and it gets the point across its fine.
I understand the non h stuff is in the magazine but its like looking at the menu in a bar and seeing they sell milk, are ppl buying milk? Are there drinks with milk and alcohol? Most of the time im gonna say no one cares for it and seeing as ppl come here for hentai its not like fakku is releasing shonen jump stuff.
It just seems to me there's effort being put in that doesn't really require it. There are some things that require it but generally the focus needs to be on mass appeal and not nit picking things at least no yet.

As someone who only entered the whole hentai scene in Oct of 2015, and lived off of nothing but manga for all my entertainment needs, Non-H is still welcome. Yes when I want to read manga I could pull any manga off my shelf or read the newest issue of Jump when they release it, but the Non-H manga being produced in the magazines here is unique. I am not going to get that particular comedy in Jump or any of the manga on my shelf.
Also as someone who does not drink alcohol, when my friends say they want to go to a bar (first off they always have a designated driver) I am they guy who is always just drinking ginger ale. Haven't ever tried Milk from a Bar, and probably never will.

Which is what they said when they originally marketed the magazine.

Not really sure how I feel about this whole thing. I mean, we all need to make a living somehow so from this point of view I dont blame you but to completely cut off basically the whole database of content overnight is kind of a dick move...
In my opinion, you should atleast think about introducing a trial period or something like that. Let the ppl see what you are offering for a few days before requiring a subscription so that they can see if you have anything which interests them because letting customers pay 12 dollars only for them to realize that you dont have enough stuff that interests them worth of 12 bucks is the best way to lose them.
I am no stranger to pay for stuff I enjoy and I have been doing it with computer games for some time now. But in all cases there was either a trial period before subscription or a free version (like wow private servers or 30 days trial period) or the base stuff was free and you could pay for some bonus one but you could see what you were paying for which is not the case here.

Tags are free to check, you can see how much content is under every of them, books have previews, sub chapters have miniatures on mainpage, there's also twitter and forum previews for upcoming month.

Precensored high quality hentai is a new thing but most people already know what they're buying since stuff isn't really new.

Agreed, and non-h stories can sometimes be more erotic than you might expect if done well, they're just not as explicit.

Yes I see what fakku is doing but y not make a section on the site for the fan translated stuff for free and still have the high quality stuff for the people that canaford it. Don't get me wrong I like what there doing but there rent many reliable sits to get your manga fap on think of the little people who just barely squeeze by with what littel money they have to begin with
