Is reputation kind like a grade point. When you do a good thing you get a good point and when you do bad thing you get a bad point. Is it something like that?

Originally, it was meant to be a sort of indicator, so that you could tell when a user contributed highly to the forums. However, the system can be so easily abused, it really doesn't mean shit to a lot of users these days. The only thing it's (probably) good for now is if someone has an absurdly high rep number, well into the hundreds, as it shows they contribute A LOT to the forums and the site.

If you have minus rep, you're a rather disagreeable character. If you have minus rep into the 20s or more, you're a total cunt. If you have +rep into the 100s, you're a god of all things amusing and agreeable.
As Art said though, rep generally doesn't mean shit and can be abused by multilogging.

It's not like I am that much interested in reputation, I know I often post my opinion quite controversely and I understand f.e. if I get bad rep when I post "god, I hate fucking forced sex doujins, why did I read it?!", when a new forced doujin is published.
What is bugging me is some guy who seems to be targeting my posts. Every other day I get - rep on everything I posted since his last visit in a couple of 1-2 minutes.
Is this a usual occurrence here? And if it is don't those people have lives?
