[Locked] Why I stopped using Fakku

The simple reason is the site doesn't have any 'Parodies' like [redacted] does, like from Oreimo or Touhou. There are pretty much my favourite type of doujins, taking characters from another universe and making porn out of them. Since Fakku doesn't have this I can't justify paying the substantial monthly subscription.
And I don't think that doing things the 'legal' way is the right thing to do, as then you are bound by whatever bullshit arbitrary laws restricting the artistic freedom of the content creators.

And another thing, if Japanese content is being catered for a Western audience, I can't see it not being infected with Western progressivism, feminism and general moralfaggery. It seems loli and forced is still on this site, but if it gets more popular I don't know if that will continue.

That's cool. Everyone has their own reason.

However if I recall Jake said that doujins are in the works, so perhaps in the future a sub will be more appealing.


Also, dunno where you got this from. Fakku is simulpublishing a magazine that is printed in Japan. That, like, you know, Japanese people buy in stores. Not sure why the artists would suddenly change their manga just for Fakku users.

By doing things the 'legal' you don't break the law which I would say is always a sign of doing the right thing. And stealing (like stealing of intelectual property) is not only against the law but is a sin in nearly every religion which means a god thinks it's wrong. And if a god says something is wrong, I would assume it is wrong...
And if we speak about "bullshit arbitrary laws restricting the artistic freedom" : you are right, there are dumb restrictions like censoring works - oh wait, fakku has everything uncensored...

We're working on bringing back doujinshi, but parody works are much more complicated than anything original. I don't think it's impossible, but it will requires more preparations before that's possible.

As for Western values effecting the content, we don't try to influence the creators, nor do we censor anything ourselves. This means we don't remove any content or alter any dialogue for political/moral reasons. This is also why we're working with the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund.


Mentioning and linking to piracy site would get you banned on most other legal platforms such as Steam, so we're fairly lenient in that regard.

I think doujinshi would primarily be digital releases due to the difficulties with printing in general (mainly not having a local printer), but I imagine we'd try to have a limited print if it's for a special occasion. One example being when we brought Bosshi to AX last year and printed a few hundred copies of this.

Imagine Fakku translating a Parody doujin from a Macross series...it will literally Burn fakku.
