Would anyone listen to a FAKKU podcast?

Hey there all. Hoping this is the right place to put this.

I'm thinking of possibly making a FAKKU.net podcast, to discuss all our favourite H things and ongoing on the site. Maybe news, releases and whatever else strikes my interest.

I'm writing this here to see if there would be any sort of interest for that kind of show. I've recorded some podcasts before and I have a lot of experience recording my own voice for things; I used to cast professional StarCraft: Brood War for 2 years.

I'm perfectly willing to do this by myself, although some assistance and possibly a co-host or two would be awesome down the line. Banter in podcast is always the best.

I would most likely need some advice when it comes to the whole hosting shtick. I can make a blog and can probably work my way around an RSS feed, but I don't have much in the way of experience past the "creation" part. Anyone willing to help me figure this out, how the show should be, what about, hosted where and how and just overall throwing ideas around are appreciated.

I love entertaining people and I figure this could be my way of giving back to the FAKKU community. By making an "official" FAKKU.net hentai podcast! Wooo!

So... what'd you guys think?

Heck yeah! I'd love to help out with hosting, too; I'll be done for the semester soon, so winter break would be a fun time to spend starting such a venture!

People say I do a mean Kakashi impersonation. I could try for co-host. :P

Sounds a like a great idea actually, as it's always good to stay on top of things related to hentai, anime, manga, FAKKU-related events, Japan, etc. etc.

I might be able to chip in from time to time if need be as I have a mic on my laptop.

Watching your Fantasy vs Stats commentary right now, just out of curiosity.

Mostly curious about how a hentai/porn oriented podcast would go, so I'd check it out.

I could see myself listening to a "This Week in Hentai" commentary. Who would actually make/record the podcast though? Whoever can do it for that week, or have a crew dedicated to doing the voicing/hosting/what have you?

kgods and some others did a few podcasts about anime, but a more permanent fixture would be a cool community feature.

I might be up for this. I did a series of podcasts on video games earlier this year, not that it's the hardest thing in the world (Skype convo and something to record audio - preferably not Audacity as it crashes all the fucking time - then upload the files somewhere and have someone edit them together. Recording straight from Skype is easier but gives terrible quality).

I only have my laptop mic at the moment, and they pick up quite a bit of feedback. I could pick up a shitty headset when I go home for Christmas though. It also depends what we're talking about to be honest, i.e. whether I can get interested in/know about the subject mater.

Right now there are a lot of things to consider regarding the podcast, but primarily it would be where to host the episodes. I'm thinking of creating a wordpress blog and combine it with an RSS feed, using www.archive.org as a hosting site. It's all free!
I've got this covered, I'll work on it slowly while my exams are going on and then after exams it'll be time for the first episode.

First order of business will then be finding a name. I don't think I can just slap "OFFICIAL FAKKU! HENTAI PODCAST" on it. I would definitely need permission from some people (Jacob to start with) for that to happen. But it will need to be figured out so I know what to name the blog and the podcast. Think I need to prove that this podcast will be worth a damn before anything.

Regarding the amount of shows I was thinking biweekly, I think I can handle that. Monthly feels a little too far apart (although can work if busy times happen) and weekly feels like an invitation to make those that work on this show (me only atm, lol) want to puke.

I'm perfectly willing to do this show solo, but if someone is willing to join me, even from the get go and hopefully for the long haul then get a decent mic and this can work no problem.

Also I need some help in finding other sites for news regarding hentai, if anyone here knows of such, please help. Google isn't really that great for the word hentai sometimes.

This is one reason why some would not like it, not saying that you're a bad person or anything. The person wouldn't be interested, or know the subject matter being discussed. I'm all for a podcast for Fakku, even though I just joined here even after lurking for ages.

I like the idea, I believe a few users were considering doing something like this a few weeks ago (not kgods) but I'm unsure where that went.

I kicked around the idea once, but it's would be a real weird experience with my infinity to rant a bit on shit. Plus i have a low voice and... i don't talk much.

Oh...wow...am I getting a fan-base? o_O
