As soon as Fakku took a step toward being a publisher this announced the programmed death of scanlation on the site, With the site becoming a business you can't afford to still provide illegal content, or else you'll get in trouble at some point, it was only a matter of time and you got a year and a half to pack your shit and jump to another land. You can already be happy they didn't remove everything back in end 2014.

With this time frame and the gigantic explosion that was the announcement of Fakku's partnership with Wani, because that shit provoked quite the shitstorm, you have no excuse for not having left sooner.

Also keeping the scanlation was a problem detractors also mentioned, calling Fakku a bunch of hypocrite for still keeping illegal content, Fucked if you do, Fucked if you don't, might as well do the right thing.

tl;dr: if you actually believed legal and illegal stuff would coexist on the site forever you are an idiot beyond saving.

I dont think fakku is at fault at all. People looking to fap doesnt read text, hence go straight to the fap material.

They dont even notice important news even if it hit them.

for example:
I wanna fap. I go to fakku. I see the "Are you above 18?" blocking the view of the preview images so I click on it, knowing that adult sites try to verify my age. there's text above but that's not fappable.

I look only straight into the tags and the images that swing my fancy...


so, can fakku really be at fault about announcement when the fact is that people looking to fap really don't want to read mumbo jumbo text that doesn't satisfy their lust?

also, these aren't even fans of fakku to begin with. they just use it for their needs. no plans to be part of the community or support the goals of fakku. I doubt that they really even appreciate that 10 years.

I can´t really add something to that, I got a subscription and I love it! I like the community, I like to comment on stories and for me it´s just fair to pay for the quality I get and I saved everything scanlated I wanted to keep.
Sadly not everyone sees it this way and I noticed that some subscription chapters got uploaded on scanlation sites which now really goes into the field of stealing...

Some of the books were fan translated before fakku got the licences for them or the chapters contained in the books were translated as they were released in the magazines a long time ago.

As for the subscription chapters, it is not impossible to get them: you could make screenshots or get the pages from the browser cache...

No, I literally meant that some peoples have been dumping the books on scanlation sites. Especially Nhentai.

I never realized how much of what i liked to read was actually unlicensed. I respect and understand the decision to remove those, and it sucks all my favorite pieces were all unlicensed. Unfortunately you have also removed tags i enjoyed and now there are no "books" in the remaining tags and what i do see is just not appealing... I wish the change was not necessary but i will have to find some place else... honestly it makes me want to cry. Ive been following you guys for several years, even if this account is new... I want to ask why shindoL's works isn't on Fakku. Why doesn't shindoL want his work on Fakku? From rumors, I heard that he isn't getting much money at all from Fakku supporting him. It would clear things up if you would answer this.
