This movie is gonna far out strip spiderman in sales. I went to get in line an hour and a half early, BTW I live in the Dallas area, and had to go around the 20 screen movie theater to stand in line in the back. But that's not all right in the middle of the interrogation scene they stop the movie because someone had a seizure. But that movie was the shit.

If they bring back the joker in a future movie they need to have him played by Mark Hamil (Luke Skywalker.) Hamil voiced the Joker in "Batman: The Animated Series" (1992-1995) as well as future series.

I didn't like it very much. The Batman was not very nice and neither was Gordon. The Joker, Alfred, and the other dude that helps batman really shined! The two faced and his girl really kicked ass as well..but, i don't know, i missed some excitment in the movie. And that batman motorcyble seemed like it would crumble any minute rsrsrs, so fragile. Bat-car was terrible as well...why the hell would one put the car wheels in the front, just where a folk could shoot them? Iron Man was kind of better in my opinion. Hulk...The Dark Knight is in the same level as hulk, for me.

Just got back from the theatre - it was a masterpiece and absolutely the most artful and well produced piece of superhero-related media I have ever watched. I give it a perfect 10/10, and that is not a rating I give out very often. An utterly fantastic film.

It proved to be just that; I haven't seen a cycle design I've liked that much since Akira.
The Batmobile itself had to take an RPG to the drivetrain to finish off; the thing was a veritable tank. And I don't know if you noticed, but even the tires were bulletproof (or if they weren't, nobody ever thought to shoot them out, although knowing the vehicle, they would have reinflated anyway).
Iron Man was a great movie, and so was the Incredible Hulk ("Hulk" was a massive failure). Tony Stark topped Bruce Banner, but Bruce Wayne topped them both.

Holy blockbuster! Batman shatters box-office record
LOS ANGELES (AFP) — Batman blockbuster "The Dark Knight" soared over the North American box-office with a record-breaking opening weekend, estimates showed, with audiences flocking to watch the late actor Heath Ledger in his final film role.
The movie, which features a mesmerizing performance from Ledger as Batman's arch-rival the Joker, took an estimated 155.3 million dollars in ticket sales, Exhibitor Relations said.
The mark shattered the 151.1 million earned by "Spider-Man 3" in May 2007, a record that many pundits believed could not be beaten by "The Dark Knight."
Prior to "The Dark Knight," "Spider-Man 3" had led the all-time opening weekend figures from 2006's "Pirates of the Caribbean 2" (135.6 million) and 2007's "Shrek the Third" (121.6 million).

That's not fair. You beat me to that last commentary about beating out the box office sales for Spidey 3. Anywho. I truly loved the sociological aspect of the movie. The basic question is. Where do you draw the line? Joker's actions in the movie as he quoted "an agent of chaos" affected society in Gotham in a very basic way. Human beings working to save themselves by throwing away their own moral values.
I apologize in advance if I bring out a philosophical argument but I wanted to point out some of the more abstract points to the movie.

I watched the late show on the 23rd in the IMAX. That was a great experience. Just the way the camera angles were made you feel like you were just another citizen looking up at the skyscrapers or a bird flying overhead of the city. If you have an IMAX within an hour of your current residence... go. It's worth it. My friend and I traveled 40 minutes to PA's capital to see it.

There is no IMAX theater for 4 hours around where I live...

I thought it could've been better and it needed more logic and realism. As for logic, it had the joker, and he doesn't need to have logic. As for realism, I think Chris Nolan did a great job with realism. He even skipped out on most scenes being CGs to make it more realistic. I believe the only CG scene was where Batman is in Hong Kong and he is on a suspension whire to break into the corporate office, only because the chinese government didn't want that happening and have a US helicopter hovering around too long.
