"Spend some time with Naoto?"

This is the first FAKKU-Subs project I've worked on and it's no coincidence it's a Persona 4 doujinshi. Naoto is arguably the most popular Persona 4 character and it's her who stars in our latest release, Everyday Younglife Eros by Omega-2D.


The interesting thing about working on this for me and Raze is that we were trying to get the translation to fit in with the Atlus USA localisation of the game. This was quite challenging because we were also trying to stay faithful to the actual translation; believe me, Atlus USA took quite a lot of "artistic license" with their localisation. There's also a lot of humour and that was a lot of fun to put into English, again, without turning our backs on the original Japanese.

There are so many in-jokes and references in this doujinshi that to fully appreciate it, you'd have to have played Persona 4. But don't let that give you the impression that this is only for the fans; this is heads and shoulders above the average doujinshi in terms of artwork, characterisation and the creativity of the original author. And yes, it even features tits and all the other things you expect from a hentai doujinshi.

I don't know the game, but I have never thought that Naoto was a boy. But it is also right that sometimes the mangaka chose to draw a boy with the looks of a girl. And I'm not talking about some average bishonen.

Nevertheless, go, Naoto, go!

I only knew that because I saw doujins featuring Naoto before ever even seeing the game. :P

Honestly, looking only at the actual game art, Naoto looks very male, except for some of the outfits. The doujins tend to feature her quite a bit bustier than she actually is.

I fell for it hook, line, and sinker all the way up until right before it was revealed. Of course, I never read any doujinshi or walkthroughs or anything about games until I've beaten them once.

I fell for it too, so the reveal was quite a plot twist for me. Possibly bigger than the murderer's reveal, and a lot more pleasant, haha.

You're totally right about her being much more convincing as a boy in the game (though it has to be said, a remarkably girly-looking boy - it's just that most actual boys in anime tend to look girly too) but it is actually canon that she has huge breasts.

OK, so they didn't use the phrase "huge breasts" but there's a totally not plot-related scene in the game in which they all go for a medical. Teddie steals a document with the girls' measurements on (clearly the doctor is a man who enjoys his job) and Rise proceeds to read it out. She announces her own breast size and then stops, stammers and gasps when she gets to Naoto's breasts size. "This can't be true!" she exclaims, or something to that effect, "There must be some mistake!" At this point a blushing Naoto snatches the document from her and discreetly hides it away somewhere.

And hence, almost all fan art of Naoto portrays her with the kind of breasts that can only exist in anime and hentai - in a good way, as I'm sure we'll all agree.

In future Fakku translations, we should be more elegant and translate cum as "penis milk" from now on. Chie is right.
