Since I have never watch one single episode of NGE in english, I don't know this voice actrice. I usually watch my anime series in japanese with subtitle. And the whole NGE series (the first version) had been shown on german TV in this way. Therefore, I was glad because usually, I don't really like german voice actors. They put too much effort into their speech, if you know what I mean. But if a series I'm watching in japanese got the german release on TV too, I'm going to have a taste of it. Often I can only stand 1-2 episodes, but the best dubbed anime series which was also shown on TV was "Detective Conan" (= "Case Closed") which seemed to stagnate for quite a while.

Funny, I found Grant's VA work a hell of a lot better as Asuka than the Japanese seiyuu.Lies! Everyone knows that the glamourus life as a japanese VA cant be compared to those d-grade americans.
I felt that all of the English Evangelion VA cast did a better job than the Japanese seiyuu. Just like Cowboy Bebop's English cast did better than the Japanese cast did.
The hilarious thing is that when it came out in the states in English, people were screaming about it being horrendous.
And to be honest, I'm not surprised in the least that the first English VA to approach the Fakku booth and buy something was her. Met her a few times myself, very open minded and rather energetic.
