Trying to generate some load for a new feature before I go to bed, etc. Can you guys throw some stuff on it? Going to disable it in an hour or two (and deleting this post with it), just wanted to get a feel for how much work needs to be done to make it more usable.

I never thought it would actually arrive. An image section. Honestly, I'm in awe. :D Is all I can say.

It still needs a lot (A LOT) of work. But it certainly is coming :3

Especially since the new server infrastructure should be able to actually handle it.

1 question is it just a one WHOLE BIG archive of image's or a section archive..

So how do we space apart the tags? Putting spaces in between doesn't separate them and it ends being one big tag =\

I dunno, just started writing it tonight. Right now it's just tags and filtering, but I'm just gonna write whatever features you guys and Jacob request. I don't really have anything in mind other than "image section that's like a booru to replace the kind-of functional user upload boards".

But sections, huh. Didn't even consider that :3

Ah, the tag input is a comma-delimited list. I added a note to the upload form about that.

And I should probably, uhh, actually make it so you can edit the tag list or something.

Ugh yes! Great job, even though it can obviously have some refinement, it's a great start, and has alot of potential, goooooodbyeeeeee Gelbooru!!!

i would like to make a suggestion...

if possible you should make a fix tag list (drop-down menu)

so that the page wont be flooded by tags ^^ since every uploader can make there own tags.. they can just write what ever the f*ck they want xD like

and if you want 2 add the feture that enables us 2 change tags make it soo that, we'll only be able 2 edit OUR tags ^^

and if this thus launch.. add a mod 2 check the image section ^^.. so no naughty pics.... like lets say child(real child) porn.. or snuff film(screenshots..)

Yeah, needs a lot of work, both feature-wise and make-it-pretty-wise. I'm not good at the make-it-pretty part ;_;

I think some kind of tag popularity system would fix the "zomg random tags" issue.

Haha no, this isn't the launch. This is waaaaay too unpolished for a launch; this is a kind of like a "uhhhh let's see what this code can do and what's horribly wrong with it". More-or-less an alpha prototype to get some early feedback from you wonderful users before I spend a week in development land implementing things that no one wants or needs :3

That's intentional. This is basically a temporary preview kind of thing until the major kinks and missing features are worked out. Things like... editing tags and such :x

Edit edit: If this is going to be the new image section, some basic rules of uploading/tagging should be listed. (IN A CLEAR SPOT EVERYONE CAN SEE, MAYBE SOME BIG ASS BOLDED TEXT)

For example, unlike the booru's we don't need to put an underscore and yet people still do it, which may cause confusion as some people may label their pictures that way causing others to miss it when searching. Stuff like that...why do I even care ┐(￣ー￣)┌

Huh. I have an idea what might cause that (thumbnailing and file transfers are done synchronously -- might use up all the available daemons if there are too many people uploading), and will have to look into it.

It can make new tags, you just have to comma-delimit them. I've always hated how danbooru forces you to use underscores; it never seemed intuitive and kind of breaks easy implementations of searching.
