Honey Select Unlimited - Performances
1
As far as I understood, Honey Select was ported to Unity. Now, does that mean, performance wise, compared to the original release: a/it is less greedy b/same c/more greedy? I have not a really good computer and I had to downgrade some settings to make it work without lagging so, just curious, does it need more or less resources for the same rendering?
I am asking to those who played both jp/en and have some knowledge in this technical matter. Thanks.

It wasn't ported to Unity, it was already made in Unity. The only difference is that the game was localised, perhaps with some code changes/updates but I imagine the performance difference would be rather negligible between the EN and JP versions of the game.

Ok, I thought I heard about Illusion having made their own engine. Now, I see that mods are more or less working with this release so it makes sense that there isn't enough changes to talk about a port. Thanks.

As far as I understand it, this game was the first time Illusions used the Unity engine, so our team updated the code to make it more efficient. I can't comment on whether or not that has a considerable effect on performance. That said, performance takes a big hit when applying fan-made translation mods, so having the game in native English is a notable improvement on how well it runs.
