I do like novels, but I like manga more.
What's important for me is how they visualize their world, and imagination... Not "how we visualize" it ourselves

exactly. Same if you look at anime adaptions of Games and/or Manga.
Chaos;Head got its 20 hr read cut down to 12 episodes. they left out a lot of stuff
yup yup~ and as for western stuffs,Eragon~
somehow the movie adaptation is so bad,and the MC is very different from what I imagined...

I actually don't think how you visualize a character matters much at all tho...actually it depends on how the writer make their novel nee-sama,for some writer how character visualize is not very important, which makes character relationship or settings more important than that~
for some visualisation is important, which the writer describe it very detail~

so you're just lazy.
both kinds of authors paint you a ppicture. the one with images and the other with words.
Imagine if a character meets " the most beautiful person he has ever seen" but the author drew that person not to your liking - the immersion is broken

btw for novel nee-sama,do you read any Light Novel,Japanese one~
also that's an interesting way to think haha~
I always think novel as a writing, not as an art, thus I always see novel as bunch of words which the reader use their imagination to make it into a world, rather than~
how the writer put all their imagination into words~

Hmm... Lazy... Well I guess so~ but like I said, I don't really care how the character visualizes.... I care only about how the world visualizes.... I don't think you understand what I'm talking about...
Let's see... Like, imagine the manga of Aria, turn that into a novel and I'd rather not hear any explanation about how beautiful the environment is... I'd rather they just draw it.

so you dont have to draw it in your mind yourself. besides "beautiful" (as stated above) is a terrible way to desctibe, since its subjective

definitely
also it was kinda like "lol we changed the ending and a lot of crap inbetween. also have this totally unrelated character"

How we drew in our minds might differ from a person to the next... I don't like that... What I pictured to be beautiful is only what I expected- well of course, it is my very own mind after all... My mind can't picture something that's out of my head... It will never become mind blowing... To be mind blowing, the author have to visualizes MUCH MUCH farther than my own mind can expect.... That is how I find a mind-blowingly beautiful world

yup yup~ I wonder what's their criteria to decide a chapter or subchapter is good for a movie/anime or not,for some studio they can make adaptation so good, while for many other is not~
aside from novel-> anime/movie, somehow I dun like it when they make adaptation from manga into anime while the story is exactly the same(moreover if the animation is half-ass)~

Sometimes they paint it wrong since they paint with a different brushes called "each reader's imaginations"
Hence... Why I'd like a picture book better~
But in all seriousness, how to visualizes a perfect world of Aria and Aqua with words is beyond me~ I'm glad the author drew it for us... I've had the most amazing visit of an imagination world in my life with it. My mind can never visualize that with my own imagination.

It's hardly about a strong imagination tho... People just imagine things differently.... Stronger or not... How they perceive things would differ much.... The author may try to describe a thing, but as far as a description goes, people perception will be different from how the author's perceive.... Umm... I'm starting to get confused about what I'm trying to explain myself.... I should just write in my local planet's language

It may not be 100% what the author had in mind, but if described well, it comes pretty close

Then they should just write. Their own world, how they want it. So much fun too~ I do that too
Me, I want to look what's inside the author's imagination better, their way, their perception of their own world. Simple as that~
Of course, some of them are hindered to their "bad" drawing ability, or so they say, but to me it's more of a unique style rather than being bad.
