I don't really frequent, so as far as I know the norm is maintenance not page bugs.

Maintenance causes the page bugs through refreshes resulting in double posts which the forum doesn't count. So it falls behind thinking a double posts doesn't exist.

Thought it was because of people deleting said double posts.

Nope, that's a load of crap. It's the creation of double posts that causes the bug. Not deleting them. Deleting them would help the bug actually. Since it would restores what the forum believes are invisible posts.
I have spent enough time daily on here to actually study the bug and work it out. As sad as it may be, someone had to.

Rubbish. I've seen no proof of that. I was doing it years before the bug even existed. So how can they explain that?

Well here's the thing, Fakku actually has a thread for deleted posts, so by deleting posts, you actually are making another post in one thread and moving the original into some pool of metadata....

Well it doesn't seem to make the bug any worse from what I've noticed.
Until I get banned for it I just can't believe that. Since I used to do it without any effect at all.
