It was raining so heavily yesterday that my bedroom was sunk again, much worse than before because my lappy and old PC also got hit by moving-around leaking ceilings. Luckily the lappy is fine.

You can't barricade leaking ceilings. You need to fix the ceilings and rooftops, which is useless in our case due to reason.

Hmmm... aside from Kaga and Shimakaze, to a certain extent, I consider all the characters in Kancolle as unimportant characters not worth me batting eyes. It'd be a miracle if I could tell just what is that creature in your avatar, or from where is it from. Grandiose style and coloring though.
