You are partly correct because the material from which condoms are made from contain microscopic pores which adds to the ability for the condom to stretch.

The part which confuses me is that you claim to be able to normally see these "holes". I've stretched a condom before and I've never seen these holes you mention. I suggest you buy new condoms my friend.

Do you know how small air molecules (78% N2, 21% O2, 1% other shit) are? If the condom is air-tight (and they are), how could a bacteria that's thousands of times bigger go through it? Not to mention that AIDS is caused by a *virus* that's hundreds of times smaller than a bacteria.

Condoms have failure rate, since manufacturing and testing both have failure rates of their own... so it's possible that your condom could have a tear in it not caught by testing. The primary effectiveness issue with using condoms is inconsistent use. The pill by comparision has a failure rate 0.3% with proper use, but does nothing against STDs.

Thats true, if its properly cleaned just before the act, it should be safe. BUT I understand silverdeaths point too. Here's a surprise: it you do it right, anal doesn't hurt.
Here's how you do it:

1. Lube. LOTs of lube. There's no such thing as too much lube when it comes to anal.
2. Slow. Take it slooooow. Your partner has to slowly spread you out (with his fingers, toys, etc), until you can take his penis without pain.
3. Getting spread for the first time may hurt... a bit. If done right (slowly and paying attention to your partner) all you should feel would be a momentary discomfort as your body adjusts. If you feel pain, your partner should back off and try slower, so your body can adjust gradually.
