It's funny how he compares his various lousy cartoons he grew up with with only dragonball z. I don't even think they showed DBZ for a saterday line-up once. His biased views is nothing but ignorant ranting, compared to today's cartoons, the quality has degraded. Chowder, the misadventures of flap jack etc. He's only shooting himself in the foot, and it's funny.

He showed what he claimed to be good cartoons, and I was like "okay, I watched garfield too, that's not bad". And I was wondering what could the EVIL JAPANESE ANIME CARTOONS be.

Then he shows a dragonball clip, and I was like "That's the sooper eevil cartoons you were talking about?" and then I laughed my ass off. How can DBZ promote violence? I remember mimicking the kamehameha thing when I was young, imagining all kinds of crazy fights. And it was awesome.

Bottom line: dude's a sissy, DBZ is the shizzle.

i have to say anime is "now" a diff category than "cartoons" ,secondly not every anime is violent ,third there are action comedy love etc and what he just showed was an action anime was ment for teens

lastly anime's have better stories than Garfield and other cartoons because they just repeat it on & on & on

He made three contentions and every one of them he used anime as an example.

I sat there writing my rebuttal and came up with six contentions as to why animated kids shows are not violent. Sorry for my language, but, I Fucking blew his socks off.

After we finished he got up to shake my hand. I looked at him, bowed a little bit and walked off. It was the most narrow minded argument I had ever heard in a debate tournament... >.<

In contrast to the vid, I can come up with a gazillion reasons why I find no interest in the western theater of modern entertainment and why I watch anime instead. Anime promotes violence... lol.

who say anime promote violance? NO that is wrong anime is promoting love and peace but cartoon are promoting stupid idea to children .like the us presiden always says (not barak obama but bush) "peace always come with violence" but that is not the reason of why i watch anime.

ok! but really watching cartoon really makes me feels stupid but when i watch anime it gave me a new reason to create and a new imagination of a new tech, software, weapon, and new vehicle. like the bike on the akira anime i really like it and make my bike almost the same as that one.
