Anime on Blue-ray
0
i just got my hands on the Gunbuster/Diebuster blue-ray dvd and i have to say is WOW  . i have never seen such picture quality and sound so this post is strickly open for opinoins about what anime series/movie you would like to see on blue-ray. as many of you know right now there are a few titles such as some Dragonball Z movies, Appleseed Ex-Machina, Gunbuster/Diebuster, and also just recently announced Akira. so what anime series i would like to see on blue-ray? well 'the greatest anime of all time' Neon Genesis Evangelion series, movies and also the 4 part movies that are just right around the corner.
well that is my pick i would like to read some of your comments and choices. i will frequently check on your responses, the reason why i am doing this is that my library is well over 1000 dvds i will make another post and post pictures to see who has what.
well lets get this strated :D

This goes to the general discussion.
Well, I don't have anything that I want in Blue-Ray,yet.
But some classic anime might be awesome if they were on Blu-ray.
well, maybe Bt'X, Rurouni Kenshin, Saint Seiya...etc..etc..

but for me blu-ray is still expensive...^This.
Putting anime on blu-ray, is that a good idea? I buy all my anime on regular dvds, I don't think I'll make the switch even though I have a ps3. Unless all anime goes blu-ray, which I doubt will happen soon.

blu ray discs only have potential in games consoles, i mean what is the point in having an better picture i have standard def and it does me just fine, ok so the picture is not as great but at least i can watch it, and at the end of it all isn't that all you really want to be able to do watch your anime
*ahem*

Oh there's a big different. Once you go HD, you'll never want to go back to SD(sorry for using that cliche line). SD is fine and all but animation just looks a lot better in HD, 16:9 format.
