anime songs that move you.

It's an alternate version to the anime opening but it sounds better imo.
I don't know why... but I like her character song...
This anit an anime song and it is sped up by .10X but still... I did that myself with the song and I get pumped at time and go on killing rampages in Halo.

I really don't have any songs that "move" me. But there are songs that give a really different feeling.
My favourite is Brand New World by D-51 (6th opening of One Piece)
It just gives off that crazy good feeling. Like a real sense of adventure.

I know it's cliche and this has probably been done to death but i wanna hear songs that have moved you to certain emotions, any emotions really; rage, sadness, amusement... anything. This is one of the songs that was featured in Welcome to the N.H.K; there is something about the first 20 or so second that really hit me. They played it at the perfect times during the show, if the guy had a better voice or perhaps if a woman had done it it would have been really popular.
Spoiler:
I never thought you to appreciate music with sad overtones such as this, but yeah, Youkoso! Hitori Bocchi is definitely one of my favorites as well. My favorite part of the song comes in at around 3:40 when the lead guitar does its solo. Seems to convey exactly what the song was aiming for, a cry of loneliness (lit. translation of title of song is "Welcome! To loneliness"). I do agree that the vocalist somewhat detracts from the song, and I've been looking for the instrumental version of this...
I have the OST and the only instrumental songs are "Madokashii Sekai no Ue de", "Dark Side Ni Tsuite Kite", "Puzzle", "Atashi Datte Onaji Koto Omotteru yo".
Also, I'm really surprised you liked this kinda music Waar. The music really is good. One of my absolute favorites (from anime OSTs).
edit: also, 3:10 is my favorite part.

I'm really impressed by the response this thread received, I'm glad everyone feels they can open up a bit by showing us what music really get's to them.
I think the surprise that some of you are feeling about my musical "appetite" is because you don't know me well irl. I'm very different as a person than I portray here. I love quite a few of the song mentioned here. I especially love anime that shows sadness in loss, or loneliness, things like 5cm per second and N.H.K; shows that show the true beauty and sadness of missed opportunities.
Ziggy, I really liked the second ed for VK, it really made me feel dark, it's on my Ipod. Also I can't help but mention every clannad song makes me want to tear up, I know how it ends but I can't help but remember the sadness I went through while watching that show. By the end of season 1 I hated Nagisa, but season 2 made me love her. Lillium from Elfen Lied was also one of my favorites.
I'd like everyone to take a look at this, it's not from anime but from a video game; it was probably one of the best pieces i've ever heard from a game. I can't help but really love classical or even opera music, I guess it's one of the many things that makes me uncool.

@Waar: all your words make you even cooler man, not the other way around.
I tend to like Yuki Kajiura's OSTs simply because they are a fusion of new and traditional, and for the same reasons that Ziggy likes her works too.

The 4th ending song from Kara no Kyoukai that I've re-discovered recently. No way in hell I'd be able to count how many times I've listened to the final 1-2 minutes these last couple of weeks. Might be a shallow emotion (and hardly linked to KnK at this point) but there's just something about those lyrics and music that got me addicted to it.

PRISTINE EXCELLENCE AHEAD.
I have never seen the Anime, and I intend to keep it that way, so that it may not mar this song for me, because this is the best evur.

Speaking of 5 Centimeters Per Second, I'm surprised no one posted this:

Just ... I mean ... for the ... ah, forget it T_T
Anyways awesome choice gibbous. I understand you've heard the entire soundtrack ? Hell, 2 of 'em if I remember correctly. That definitely ain't the only awesome track on it and they're all composed in a similar fashion.
