[Anime] Stretta The Animation I

Unfortunately, due to a recent C&D notice from the company in charge of producing the Ultimatum Sera series, there will be no front page post, nor will the video be uploaded to the site. But! Doesn't make sense to not release something that's already finished, so those of you who are diligent and visit the forums enough to stumble upon this page will be aptly rewarded. Allow me to present to you Anime Release #12 - Stretta: The Animation #1 - Maybe I'm a Beast! Those of you who loved the Ultimatum Sera series will get a pretty big kick out of this episode. Two characters from Ultimatum Sera make their appearance here: Mikura (from episode 2), and Kirishima (also from episode 2), both a million times wetter than before. A new girl, Ruma, the seductress who lives off the sperm of men, also makes her first appearance here. Allow me to introduce our new timer: Sindalf! He was the new timer I was talking about in the Cafe Junkie 1 notes. He's an experienced guy, and therefore apart from a couple of careless mistakes, the timing was very good. He's also a very enthusiastic worker, so you can definitely expect to see more of him in the future. And of course, Bob64 the awesome, the other half of the quality you can expect to find in FAKKU-Subs anime releases. He did a QC of the timed script, typesetted the logo, and encoded the episode. I assumed my usual role of translator and script editor. The translation process went very smoothly, using the style of being as faithful to the original as possible (without losing the mood, style, and sublime connotations) while still flowing and making perfect sense to a native English speaker, which I'm sure by now you're all pretty used to and recognize as a hallmark of our translations. Anyway, the usual translation notes for your enjoyment. In the first scene before the title screen, Mikura adds "desu" to the end of her sentences, almost like an afterthought. This is of significance but is virtually untranslatable: "desu" is sometimes added to the end of a sentence to turn it into polite form. Mikura and Endou (the guy) obviously have a very close and sexual relationship, so the form of speech they would normally use with each other would therefore be the plain form. Basically, Mikura, who is role-playing as a maid servicing a customer in the Maid Cafe she works in, speaks in plain form to Endou naturally, but, remembering her role as a maid serving Endou, adds the "desu" afterwords to turn it into polite form. A clear example of this would be when she exclaims "Special service?!", where she exclaims "tokubetsu saabisu", and then appends "desu ka" politely, highlighting her overflowing excitement at the possibility of Endou asking her for Special Service. There are also a few eating/cafe puns scattered throughout the Mikura scene. The most delightful one I can remember off the top of my head is when Endou exclaims "kore... sugoku umai" while receiving a blowjob from Mikura. "Umai" is often used during eating to mean "tastes good!", though it can also be used to mean being really good at something. The last translation note I have is when the photo booth goes "Otsukaresama deshita!" after Tsuchiya and Kirishima are done with their little romp. The phrase is often used after someone has done some hard work or a task. Hence, my rendering it as "Thank you for your hard work!" Though, I had no idea photo booths in Japan automatically censor the sexual organs of its customers. Grab the release below, and hope you enjoy it! I noticed one thing, that I always try to avoid...

For example the line at 6:59
"I-I'm sorry, it feels so good I..."

Nothing at all is wrong with the line, however I find to include stutters into the translation do nothing productive, and if anything only hinder the viewers ability to read the line...

Thing is I feel you do not need to include them for the viewer to understand that stuttering is going on as they can hear it in the japanese, regardless of whether or not they know japanese.

Other than that, and even with that it is an excellent job, that's just a personal preference of my own...and now that I've watched the episode without fapping I feel I must rewatch it, to fap.
