3rd + 2nd = serious ouch since it add magic damage and 2nd reduces magic resistance... add tauren cheiftain to the mix and watch people take full magic damage...

nope, all you need is to make him run in a circle after casting the DOT spell and just use ulti on him when he'ls frozen and just whack him. Magina loses

Most of the time using int heroes is not overextending yourself and knowing what your team mates are doing and react upon it.
A good thing to keep in mind is its okay to not get kills,just support and not spam all your skills on one opponent.
