I was actuallly waiting for you...
I'm about to attend a 2-3 days dancing boot camp and I want to ask some tips on what to do with sore tired legs.
and if you use something for varicose veins.
(since you're the only dancer I know of here)

More of a medical thing then a dancing thing really; not something we dealt with much in the dancing world. Look into compression stocking/socks/hose for your legs when you are not active; improves blood circulation. Also elevate your legs a bit when you are taking rest periods. Other then that, make sure you don't work your legs too hard; stretch a good amount before you start pushing yourself (if they don't provide a good stretch period then get there early and do some) and make sure to cool down properly afterwards. Basically don't work out and then go sit on your ass immediately afterwards, your blood will pool and make the varicose veins worse.
Only other things in relation to treating or preventing varicose veins is a good and healthy diet, moderate amounts of exercise (don't overdo it though), loose some weight if you've been told to by a physician and talk to the physician for the most part.

thanks! my trainer pretty much said the same thing
an evil dance instructor made me swore off dancing as a kid until now, I wasn't allowed heavy excercises so dancing was one of the few choices I was left with that was low impact. I've lost 18 pounds in eight weeks and still going.
varicose veins run in my family. my older sister got hers surgically treated, I might opt for that in the future if other treatments won't work.
