Got a lovely little card in the mail today - "unfortunately we can't deliver your item today because there is a fee to pay". My fault for not thinking about VAT on my two boxes of figurines, yes, but some idiot has apparently written the total value of the order on both boxes. I.e. I have to pay the total tax of the order twice, which comes out at almost £30. Fucking customs.

Can you do something about it? Like telling them that the price supposed to be for both items? Or sending claim to the store?

Sounds like another complaint thread, but fear not, because it is about figurines you shall receive sympathy.

I might be able to claim it back from customs or something, as they're the ones who pay it on your behalf. I'll find out when I go down there tomorrow; hopefully if I take the invoice they'll sort it out, but it's not their money to give me.

£30Right, pardon my inattention. That is most certainly a British pound.

You'd best be trollin', sir, because that there is a Great British Pound.

Well sir, you have bested me this time. I always thought that since it looked like an 'E' it was Euro. Go figure, eh?

The € looks more like an E, imo. I suggest you brush up on the whole thing though, Mr Slave. Learn something new everyday and all that.

Unbelievable. I just phoned them up so as not to waste a journey if I couldn't get them, and they told me the VAT wasn't the problem - actually it's been reduced slightly. No, apparently customs randomly open packages to check there's nothing that shouldn't be, and to assess how much VAT should be paid; happily they chose mine, they've charged me an £8 'handling fee' on each box for the privilege. I'm going to go and get them shortly, but ffs...

If you want to get technical it is actually the Pound Sterling.
