[color=#006FFF]Oh. Derp. In regards to the use of purple prior to today; I just used it because it fit my old name nicely ("mrprince04"), because purple is the color of royal or regal houses.
Blue has always been my favorite color though. Also, another reason as to why I didn't use blue form the start; at the time when I changed to purple, way back when, it would have just felt like I was copying Habu, and that would have seemed lame, so I went with the next best thing: purple.
Little did I know, however, that using these codes and such, one can get specific shades of the spectrum.
