what the hell man? you know how unnerving it is to see them for the first time? you think your going crazy when its really just a small animation. whats worse is i just saw two back to back, and thats just making it worse. at first i welcomed gifs but not ones that simulate real bodily functions! i have spoken.

There's this lizard one I just saw a little bit ago, and it blinked. So I watched it forever, and finally I gave up. I posted a reply, and when It went back to the page again, it blinks at me. So I wait for it to go again...
and now I am left wondering if I am either crazy or if reading this topic sent me on a paranoid trip...

Logically thinking, the blink rate in those avatar is fixed, if you happen to get that "phenomenon", it's just your timing was bad.

No, I have nothing against them, just that that one lizard one had a long seperation between it's blinks. Couldn't tell for a long ass time if it was blinking for reals or not.
