I never liked Clannad. Awful series.
I watch the first episode for about five minutes, till he saw that girl who is like the key-characer of the series, and then I stopped watching.

Just because you did not enjoy Clannad as a series gives you no right to call it an awful series. Go watch the 800th episode of bleach if you want mindless crap in the first 5 minutes of a series.

Clannad is generally excepted by most viewers as one of the best anime adaption.
Bleach would have been good if they they didnt have soo many fillers and hour long soliloquies. Same for Naruto
I dont get why NGE is so popular, i watched the entire series and all i saw was emo and angst with a little masturbation.

I'm afraid I'm gonna have to agree sadly. I found that anime immensely boring. It shouldn't feel bad though I've never seen a school-life-anime that I've enjoyed.

It shouldn't feel bad though I've never seen a school-life-anime that I've enjoyed.Its not for everyone, I have some problems of it, but its one of the few animes that I enjoy very much, because unlike most anime where the main character don't grow up despite a very long series(Naruto is a prime example) and when I mean grow up, I mean mature over a period of time.
Clannad seem grow out the characters well compare to most school life anime.

When people say they only watched the first minutes of the first episode, or even just the first few episodes, they really are missing out if they stop watching it. Clannad is a good show, but I don't think it is really special. THAT IS until you watch Clannad After Story.
Even people who don't like school romances should at least skim through Clannad just to watch After Story. It truly is like no anime ever made. I was blown away, and it is the only anime I can show other people who don't like anime and them be like

I was explaining the simple fact of character devlopment on how most anime don't have it shonon or not. Even characters in that genre change.
I was giving an example, it just happen to be Naruto.
Honestly no matter what the genere is, a lack of character devlopment is a lack of character devlopment no matter if you compare two different genere. Like Hellsing and Tandora. Or Ghost in the Shell and Fate Stay Night.
I was simply saying that. Do you understand now?
