There's no point in doing that... I don't even know what's so difference about windows other than the interfaces

Most people would say 7 because it's more like a better looking XP, whilst Win8 is set-up more like a tablet where the desktop is an app and the start menu is just an app screen. Personally I'd pick 7 because finding things on Win8 is a nightmare. Took me a week to figure out where the control panel was.



All my music is on my PC though. Can't forget that.

Of course you can. It still has a desktop I said. It's just that there's no start menu as it has an app screen like a tablet instead of that.

Windows 8 has better software performance than 7. Compatibility-wise, it's same as 7.


As for the UI...well, it depends on the person. Personally, I don't think XP/7 were that good in terms of UI as people make them out to be - in fact, I think XP was horrible. Had to open wwwaaaayyyyyy too many tabs to manage my system. Ultimately, it's a matter of personal preference.
