I know a bit about BDSM-I used to be a Master/Dom for a little while and I'll give an example. One submissive I had liked it when I was rough with her and though she had her limits, she wanted me to push and even break those limits-the idea behind this is that she wanted me to display my dominance over her in every aspect of our relationship.
Rape for me is much different because it's much more one-sided, one person is basically harming another through sex and the damage can come in many forms. The most common is the sense of helplessness and fear. It's even worse when it's someone the victim knows because of that sense of betrayal. Suddenly they're afraid of the world because there's that sense that it'll happen again. In some rape hentai they show the victim's mind being 'broken in being a whore' as a sense of coping with the pain-but it's not enjoyment, but rather acceptance-the victim accepts that the rapist has power over them and they accept the pain and abuse a means of dealing with it.
This is why I hate seeing this thing in hentai because it treats rape as something that's okay to do or something not to be taken seriously.

But a lot of people inlcuding myself, may like rape in hentai, but not in real life. Personally, I like the rape in hentai because it appeals to my darker side, I like the dominance shown, but in real life, it actually disgusts me because in hentai, its not real, you know, nothing really happens to anyone, no girl goes crazy or anything, but in real life, its very different, because someone does suffer their whole life, they become paranoid and tramautized, and there are severe consequences like depression and suicidal thoughts, adn so, I really go against real rape. In that sense, I think that hentai is a way to express our desires for certain things without doing it in real life, a way to release frustration or lust. And maybe some people dont take rape seriously, but I would like to think that the vast majority understand on at least some level the severity of rape
