Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) is a style sheet language used for describing the presentation semantics (the look and formatting) of a document written in a markup language. Its most common application is to style web pages written in HTML and XHTML, but the language can also be applied to any kind of XML document, including plain XML, SVG and XUL.As an example the code for the class "button" that you used looks like this:
whyunocodebox wrote...
.button {-moz-border-bottom-colors: none;
-moz-border-image: none;
-moz-border-left-colors: none;
-moz-border-right-colors: none;
-moz-border-top-colors: none;
background: url("http://cdn.fakku.net/8041E1/t/images/sprt.png") repeat scroll 0 -276px transparent;
border-color: #999999 #9D0A0A #9D0A0A #999999;
border-radius: 4px 4px 4px 4px;
border-right: 1px solid #9D0A0A;
border-style: solid;
border-width: 1px;
color: #FFFFFF;
cursor: pointer;
display: block;
float: right;
font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;
font-size: 14px;
font-weight: 700;
margin-left: 6px;
padding: 5px;
text-decoration: none !important;

Basically <.a> is a link, you style it as a button by adding <.a class="button"> and can give it a tooltip by using title="etc", you put the text you want to appear on the button in-between the ending and closing tags like so <.a class="button" title="etc">Hi Bob
Just without the periods.
Because Jacob is using button as a global class instead of say one that can only be applied to link elements (a.button), it can be applied to any element that we're allowed to use-<.a> (link) <.img> (image) etc which isn't exactly site breaking but not good practice either because you can end up with things like this:
CSS is designed primarily to enable the separation of document content (written in HTML or a similar markup language) from document presentation, including elements such as the layout, colors, and fonts.[1] This separation can improve content accessibility, provide more flexibility and control in the specification of presentation characteristics, enable multiple pages to share formatting, and reduce complexity and repetition in the structural content (such as by allowing for tableless web design). CSS can also allow the same markup page to be presented in different styles for different rendering methods, such as on-screen, in print, by voice (when read out by a speech-based browser or screen reader) and on Braille-based, tactile devices. It can also be used to allow the web page to display differently depending on the screen size or device on which it is being viewed. While the author of a document typically links that document to a CSS style sheet, readers can use a different style sheet, perhaps one on their own computer, to override the one the author has specified.That being said our ability to use the site's styling code and a few basic html elements isn't a bad thing and can't in any way break the site's functionality.
You can use it to have pictures surrounded in a box neatly like above or add some extra flare to the links in your post.

Haha I guess I screwed up that sentence, unsure how to fix it though.
This avatar and I go way back.
Actually, it doesn't, but I still love it.

Now I remember - earlier I was playing on a United Islands Forever server on SAMP (San Andreas Multiplayer), and it was one of the 4 drift races. Each race is in an instanced version of the game map, intended to avoid external influences from fucking up the race.
Some twat kept using some sort of speedhack to zoom really fast into us all at the starting line (there must've been about 10-15 of us), sending us half way across the map. So I had to copy the command onto the clipboard if I wanted to save my fingers. Reported them, but the admins are fucking useless; they'll mute you if you copy/paste something 3 times, but do shit all to someone who's dickish enough to do that. Gave up in the end and did something else.

Because my friend Barry didn't know where to find him. I asked him for a Level 1 Spheal and pushed my luck by asking for it to be nicknamed. The Water type I'd been using, Wailord, can't take hits at all.
