Da fuck! Translations - Doujins vs. Manga
0
Why is it the pornographic filth of the internet gets better translations then clean, widely distributed manga series?
Da fuck?!
Really...
Da fuck?!
Really...

You're complaining?
Probably due to the fact that widely distributed ones get professional translators to do the work at some point.

What do I know.
But yeah, I always wondered the same thing. So many shit translations out there.

Not a good reason to do stuff half-assedly though. At least in my book.

Seriously.
Comic Sans was not even cool when there was nothing else around (read: doujin "translations" 10 years ago)

Comic Sans just makes me rage when used anywhere, for any purpouse.
Seriously, I've seen it on a professional real estate agent sign...and a very serious, depressing anti-drinking-and-driving slideshow. WHAT?!?

Comic sans is still seriously overabused by people who don't know jack about anything.

These are speed translations; the cut throat world of subbing/scanlating a weekly series. If you're first, you get more hits.

Though I can see that groups scanlating the bigger shounen series are under way more pressure. Still, there's always time for some stealth QC in my opinion... (by the way, Comic 1*x and Comiket is when things really start to heat up for doujinshi translators obviously, we at LWB were ninjad 3 times last Comiket)

I'm in no way condoning these shit translations, just saying why they occur.

I wasn't arguing your point... still, kinda sad to see that quality doesn't really matter much when it comes to this.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'd much rather have a good quality release days later than an early release with more grammar mistakes than a 2nd grader's writing composition.

I like the Engrish translations. They're pretty entertaining, just in a different way than the perfect translations.
