Pretty sure you won't have to worry to much about that. I think by the time you reach the second gym you should start finding pokemon that're actually useful. The little puppy pokemon's probably one of the few first pokemon you can catch that's any good, that and the first psychic type you can get after the first gym battle.

It's always nice when you can customise food yourself.

I never consider one for my team just because they're useful or strong or whatever common reasons people usually had... I just go with the flow~ meeting the random pokemon and suddenly comes the random urge to have them in my team, and catch!.. It could be cute ones, cool ones, or even weird ones~

That's sounds like too much work for me~

Not sure why I'm even catching everyone I come across to be honest, never used to haha. Probably will only use ones that I actually have an interest in raising though, never really been like "Oh those have super amazing stats, need one in my party"
