Yeah, even the Champion's highest level pokemon was only about 65.

OMG... My team is already on the average of level 81, my 2nd team at 60-70, and my 3rd team at 50ish, and I still haven't beaten the 8th gym yet. Completing Pokedex and training many pokemon has been fun~

I'm hoping that the quest for Mewtwo and the Legendary Birds will have some strong trainers but somehow I get the feeling I'm not going to have that sort of luck and they'll all be way under leveled lol

Pokemon really never much of a challenge, you really have to love the world itself to fully enjoy it~

Otherwise you're just following the hype

For the most part. Although every now and then they throw in something of a challenge. Red trainer battle in Silver/Gold, Cynthia in Black/White and stuff like that. Although I've never been this horribly over leveled by the time I hit the Pokemon League...kinda wish they would get an upgrade like in White/Black did.

Those are never a challenge to begin with... You're just kinda weak to think them as one... Weakling kyubs~ You have every advantage given to you when battling them, free switching your pokemon everytime they send out a new one, all items to use, and stupid AI that won't switch their pokemon even at a major type disadvantge... Maybe Battle Frontier would be more of a challenge, but they still got kinda stupid AI... Just that the pokemon there are quite strong tho, especially after lots of winning streak

Doesn't quite matter when you're 10-15 levels below them at the time. That and the AI has learned to switch out, god knows why it hasn't figured out to do it more often yet though.

Even so I kinda beat his pokemon other than Snorlax pretty much with one hit each since they're all super effective :c, and not to mention his pokemon probably doesnt got any training since they're slower than they're supposed to be, like a high leveled wild pokemon... I'm talking about Red.

Being prepared with super effective pokemon sorta takes a lot of the challenge out of anything though lol

I did, but... its a Drowzee.... and it's Pink....

Not really being prepared, just that my team consists members that can wipe out any pokemon out... I mean the move type variety...

When you're having like say, your Blastoise, you don't only have water type moves like Hydro Pump, Surf, and all that in the 4 slot of its moves right? Make it a variety like Surf, Ice Beam, Brick Break, and Flash Cannon for example... 6 of Pokemon with that kind of wide variety of moves in your team and you can pretty much hit everything with super effective.

I remembered my Espeon (named Velvet <3) was 10 levels under Red... But its still faster :c

Preaching to the choir here Hime, I know to keep counter moves on your pokemon to make up for type disadvantages.

Then I didn't expect to hear something like noobish "Red is such a challenge" from you...





They'd take everything that's shiny. It's just rare stuffs, no matter they like it or not, rare stuffs is still rare.
