Do you give money away?

Most of us give money to the needy. (if we don't spend it all at Comic Con first.) They need the money, but do you give it away freely to you friends and co-workers when they ask for some? I don't. Lending is a different story though, you get your money back.

Most of my paycheck goes to my family in some form or another, and when someone asks me on the street for change I usually oblige. ...That's why I'm poor.

Only give it away to people on the street if they earn it.
I went out for lunch in the city once and a guy started telling me and my friend jokes so we have him like 3 dollars.

I gave a bum a dollar for carrying a sign that read "Why lie? It's for alchohol". I thought it was pretty witty.

Aren't government helping them and in bible, I've read that poor people would apply as servants(there's work therefore) but, maybe he'll think he knows karate and tie up your daughter(or somethin) because he can.

I'll only give money away if I'm SURE that I'll get it back. I've given a bum a dollar once, though I got lectured for it by my parents, though their arguement did make a bit of sense. "Don't bother giving beggers money. They'll just end up spending it on drugs and alcohol." But I'm sure it doesn't apply to all of 'em. Nowadays, my thoughts are, Why give them money when others will anyways?

Get a giant sign that says "Free Hugs" and stand on a busy street or a subway station.

I give poor peeps a buck or two, or sometimes my spare change from commuting from and to work. But on few occasions I give them food instead (like half-dollar Jolibee burgers I get for free at work meetings).

I tend to give bums left overs or nothing at all. This is mostly because I am fairly poor atm. When I was in highschool I often had more cash than my friends and would lend it out...and not gripe about it when I never got paid back.

give money and people will like you if you act stingy and all high and mighty you get your ass kicked so you choose your path and follow it with the consequences

I borrow money from people on the spot alot, so I in turn give money to friends without expecting payment back. In theroy we should be even, but I always wonder if one of us is taking advantage of the other...

If I give money to a good friend, it's like a well spent money actually, not just to some bum.

If your good friend spent it on crack and the bum on food I'm not so sure.

I give money away sometimes when I actually have some to spare, but most of the time since I'm pretty tight on cash at the moment due to college I hardly ever give any away.
