Hackers....well if most hackers were like the ones in TV and Movies, I would probably like them, but they aren't. Rare is the hacker that liberates information and brings justice. Of course not everything they hack and why, you would agree with.
The vast majority of hackers steal information, such as your identity, your credit cards, your online game possessions, though keylogger and other hacks. Then there's the asshole hackers that think its funny to make others miserable through stealing passwords and making others think they are you, or creating a virus that deletes files or makes a computer system unusable.
I would love hackers to be all good guys, but they aren't, most are in it for profit and stealing, some are in it to pester and cripple others, a few use it to actually be a protester vigilantly. Basically, I like the 1 in 1000 hackers, the rest should be shot.

I can actually do rather mediocre hacking. I started with small stuff with cmd and networking when I was 14. I don't have too much time to advance my skill though since it's a rather old hobby. I am hoping though after learning a few program languages I'll be able to improve though and maybe join something that has to do with network security etc.

Funny, I seem to recall killing a hacker on uh that anime tps forgot name of the game but i remember there's a thread about it in video games subforum. he got butthurt, very butthurt. lol He's quite horrid at playing the game and need copious amount of helping hand and hand holding just to kill me. There those kind of hackers is worthless lol.
