Simple question do you prefer to read stories about series and characters you know or have seen or don't realy care as long as there's action?
I prefer to read ones from anime I've seen. I enjoy having knowledge about how the characters were originaly intended to think and act.

I probably miss out on a lot by doing so, but I rather not try out manga that I don't know of unless the art looks really good. Wise ass and wisteria (along with anything else I favorited), however, are exceptions. [/h]

Well in my case it's rather the opposite...I learned of anime's like Clannad, Rosario+vampire, Haruhi, To-love-ru...
All of those I learned from the doujins first, then i wanted to know what the actual anime was about etc...Kyou was the reason i started to watch Clannad lol and I'm happy i did ^_^

No. I barely know any anime, and I'm not much interested in anime either. I prefer a doujin that tells a nice little story on its own and thus is interesting enough without knowing the series.

I like the original works. But works where you know the characters are better IF the artist stays true to the original character design. Taking a naturally loli character and giving her super huge breasts can be kind of a turn off.

It's always nice to know the character's your fapping to, and it's a major turn on. However it's also cool to read and 'enjoy' manga's that you have no clue where they came from

Since my primary goal is usually finding good fap material, I tend to go for something of known basis most of the time.
However, the few rare instances when I was actually drawn in by the story/action/humor/whatever originated mostly from original works and I think of those as having higher quality.

i prefer knowing the background which is why i cant remember but there were amazing doujins but i couldnt udnerstand it but in english and great artwork so i watched the anime and started reading them lol but yeah my curious side makes me suffer greatly...7
some things are better not known and yet i dwell on them.. but the ones with full coloured pics well who needs to know the background the artwork and colour is amazing

Yeah I do. It helps if you have developed an attachment to the character(s). Although I also seem to hold much higher standard when it comes to doujinshi from characters that I know, so in result I don't find as many of them that I like.

When i look for doujin, i either search by the series or artist i like. otherwise, if it is from a list of random doujin, i start from the top of the list down and pick out the ones i don't like, i can't truthfully make a vote. i would probably choose an artist option to vote over these two

I love it especially when it's something i know because as watching or reading i've always thought like oh what would it look like if Shana was getting fucked? so yes knowing the char makes it that much better and more on able
